First workout of the New Year and the start of a new me!

January 6, 2009

Well today i started on the course of building myself a lean, strong and fit body. My diet could have bean better but i put 100% into the training and fueld my body with protein and creatine after the workout.

It went like this,

15 mins on the stationary bike to warm up.

Incline barbell bench press 1*15 with 60kg , 1*10 with 70kg , 1*5   with 80kg , 1*8 with 70kg

Flat dumbell flyes  1*10 with 18kg, 3*7 with 18 kg/2

Decline barbel bench press 3*10 with 50kg , 1*5 with 60kg

Cross bench dumbell pullovers 2*10 with 18kg

Took about 45 mins and fealt good after. Just the start and will be cleaning my diet up to get maximum results.

My transformation.

January 4, 2009

Like so many others out there i became stale and comfortable with the day to day life style of take away food, watching tv and basicly no exercise. It was only when i actually got on some weighing scales that i was hit with the truth of how far i had gone. In September 2008 i tipped the scales at a huge 220 lbs and 32% bodyfat! I  had started to suffer with lower back pain and had picked up a knee injurie from the summer. On a trip to the doctors i also had high blood pressure. All my life i had played sports and been active and to read what the scales were telling me was a wake up call. From October 08 untill the Xmas holidays i totaly changed my diet in the hope to drop lbs. The change of diet and along with some stationary bike work worked. I had dropped 35 lbs but was still far from fealing comfortable in myself. I had always been interested in fitness and weight training but never commited.

The weight loss over the last few month has been good but i am not happy with the way i look or feal. When doing the weekly shop i picked up a copy of a fitness mag and came across a supplement catalogue with an advertisement for a body transformation competition. The guy that featured had made fantastic gains and i wanted to know more? I got in and punched the words " Body Transformation" into my search engine and the bodybuilding.com site came up. I have to say i couldnt stop looking through the transformations of all the men and women. To all those out there, you have given me the drive to try it myself. You guys have really inspired me to acheive results myself.

So today i have taken weight/body measurements/photo and recorded them. Worked out a weight training and cardio routine along with a diet plan. Tomorrow i am off to get myself some basic supplements to set me on my transformation.

I hope to post every week with my progress.

 regards

Fred
