Future plans

My shoulder has gotten much better. Had to postpone the last show because I needed to heal the shoulder. Posing was painful but training wasn’t. Funny huh! Any way, I have kept myself very, very lean all summer so far. 5 lbs from contest weight. I plan to do the NJ state in November and qualify for the 2010 NPC Team Universe in New York. The masters nationals would be nice but the travel and my business would be impossible any summer. I will stay lean all summer and head for the NJ State. Middleweight and Masters classes.

10 weeks to go, my weight is 184, good for right now. Training is good, increased cardio to 6 days a week right now.

Glad to hear things look good for you for your next competition.

181 on Saturday morning. Plenty of time to go. My upper body is lean but my legs need the 2 months I have to go. I hold a lot of weight in my legs and off season they overpower my upper body a lot.

Wow! Weight is down to 176. Quick loss. I am pleased with my diet and training right now. I believe I can hold my own in the NJ State with the conditioning and symmetry I will bring .

This morning, I weighed 171. I am at the weight now that I plan to be. Just need to linger around at 170 for the next few weeks. Training is still intense, but otherwise I am tired. The shoulder is doing better than I expected. No pain at all. I am going to go in very tight.

Wow. Now less than 3 weeks to go. I am ready to step onstage now. I feel comfortable this way. My workouts have been super intense, especially this close to a show. My strength has not declined much at all. I feel ok, a little tired. Shoulder couldn’t be holding up better. I am confident with the gains I am seeing from off season training.

1 week from today. Woke up this morning at 170 lbs. Perfect weight for me. I may end up at 168-169 the morning of the show. I am more ripped than ever before. Diet worked and held good size throughout. Shoulder has held up perfectly. Posing has been painless. I am very anxious now and ready to go.

Well, its here. I didn’t sleep well, not surprised at all. I went to bed weighing 175 a little worried about the weight. I woke up at 170. Great weight to start the day. I can eat some carbs and be plenty under the weight. This is my best conditioning ever. Whatever happens today, I did my best.

I ended up weighing in at 171. I did really good by being in the best shape condition wise ever. I won the masters lightweight and overall. I ended up taking 2nd in the open middleweights out of 8 men. I thought I had it , but what can you do.

I have 4 more days to go for the Nabba American. I am tired since I had to jump right back on the diet Sunday morning after the show last week. I am sure I will be just as tight Saturday as I was last week .

Well. Now that the competing is done for the year. I am going to enjoy the time off from the diet and train hard for next year. I am very happy with my conditioning and shape that I have brought to the 2 shows that I did. I had very tough competition and held my own very well.

It is now a month since my 2nd show. I am weighing 183. 12 lbs. Not too bad. Still keeping cardio in,not as much. Training is going great, tons of energy and intensity. I am now going to focus on putting on some needed size for next years contest.
