last week i was still feeling the effects of the monday illness. my body was simply not at 100%. I did lifting and some running, but i need to get back on the good workout trail.

today at lunch time i’m going for a decent run. later tonight i’ll lift in the basement while watching nhl playoff hockey. i’m in the crunch-time zone for my 10k race in a couple weeks. eating and training must be "right on."

my weight is nearly at the short term goal. i intend to blow by it by a couple lbs for the race.

3 sets fly w/ DB

well, no run today. too cold. at noon went to the Y instead for a very nice bicep, tricep workout. included some ab work, where you prop yourself up on your elbows and keep your back straight. every 10 seconds or so i tightened my abs as hard as a could. this is the first time that i’ve done this drill.

also did dips today. i have stayed away from dips due to my shoudler pain. today it felt pretty good, though. did four sets. so i’m very thankful to be getting back to some of the drills that i’ve stayed away from because of taking it very slowly on my shoulder rehab plan.

then i wrapped up with 20 minutes on the bike. even got 3 minutes in the steam room after i was done. SWEET! i love the steam room. in our next house, we’re getting a steam shower put in. i can’t wait.
