Breaking up is hard to do
For the last month I think I have been in a coma. My boyfriend and I split after 3.5 years and I am just starting to slowly pick up the pieces. I found that it was really hard to even go for a run let a long workout. Running has always been the one thing that relieved stress and made me feel better, and I couldn’t even do that. Its hard to run when your crying!
Chocolate cake has been my savior, yes I had it for dinner 3 times last week. All in all I am slowly getting back in the groove of things, eating better, working out more.

Awww…girl break ups are VERY hard! I understand totally! My answer is always ‘PAJAMA DAYS!" Which for me is just allowing a day to really feel the pain….and then making myself get back to life the next day!! Not always easy! and right now…i’m not allowed any good ‘comfort’ food! Just be gentle with yourself while you go through your feelings!!

When I went through my divorce last year, working out saved me. It was so hard to just get up and do. I finally was able to get up and work it out. Stay with it. In time all things shall come to pass. Once you decide to quit banging your head against that wall, you will recover quickly. I am sorry to hear of your trouble. Stay strong!

My boyfriend and I went through that last year. We were together 4 years (lived together for 3) and I moved out. Some of my best runs were while I was crying. I signed up with Team and Training, which gave me a goal and something to look forward to and I ran my first marathon. Now I’m training for my first figure competition. Anytime I got upset about the breakup I would just go run (sometimes I would run 2-3 times in one day). For me it’s easier to put my mind on something else. Good luck and it does get easier.

My girlfriend just ended a 8 year relationship i never saw it coming. she wants to be free with her single friends. inside i am dying on the outside no one would ever think there is so much pain. running is all i have i also catch my self doing push ups till my arms cant hold me up any more. i dont know how you feel but i may have a pretty good idea. if ever need to talk let me know i am a pretty good listener.
