Hired a trainer
Friday, May 16th, 2008I’ve hired a trainer and he’s brining a nutritionist into his fold this week. I’m excited, but also concerned. This guy is a bodybuilder who has never actually trained a figure competitor before but he says he knows what they’re looking for and he can get my bodyfat down. I really hope so. I’ve had two workouts with him and they were circuit-style workouts. I was breathing really hard, red in the face and sweating and loving it - however, I wasn’t really sore. Then again this was a trial week, so I’m hoping that when we start, things will get much harder and more specific.
I’m also concerned with the general nutritional information I"ve received that my diet needs to be really "strict and tight" but no specifics. He told me yesterday to go low carb and low fat and only to eat my starchy carbs before workouts (didn’t say how much) and at breakfast because he’s concerned that my bmi is so high. He’s not concerned with the numbers on the scale, but my bmi and I know my bodyfat needs to come down, but they aren’t the same thing.
Problem is, I don’t have another trainer in town to go to and my show is August 1. Does anyone have any suggestions?
