Welcome to the body industry and the world of the "SCHMOE". I have been competing at the National level for about 3 or 4 yrs now, and have had an eye opening experience or two, myself!! Even some of the professional "photographers" that work all of the shows are only in it for their personal gratification, in a sexual manor. Beware, and be smart!! If it walks like a duck, it must be a duck!

I totally agree! I just had such an experience on another networking website whose name I will not mention... Anyway, they started with a reasonable offer but ultimately their haste in getting me to "work" coupled with their unprofessional comments at every question I had gave me a bad gut feeling... You have to be careful who you work with!

Excellent topic!! I have read many blogs on BSpace here from women expressing excitement about upcoming photo shoots and / or sponsorships with (to me) shaky circumstances. I think most people are apt to trust scenarios and the people responsible (especially if it seems like a fantastic deal from a smooth operator), but really need to take a step back and remember that in reality, there are BAD people, waiting to prey on the less cautious. I would only suggest verifying stories and offers from people that are not well known and in the public mainstream....
