A Winter’s Worth of Progress
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007Every September, I ride in a weekend long charity bike ride to raise money for multiple sclerosis. Last year, I wanted to really focus on getting in shape for it so I stopped lifting completely about two months before the event. Ultimately, I got down to 161 pounds by the time the ride came around. I’m about 173 in the pic on my Bodyspace page.
So, I spent the summer and most of the spring focusing on the basics and bulking up. I hit an all time high bodyweight of 206.5 pounds. Granted, I don’t exactly have abs but I added a lot of muscle, too. So now my goal is to peak for this year’s bike ride while continuing my lifting and try and be just as cut but at around 185 pounds. Dropping fat has never been a problem. Holding onto muscle while I do it, that’s a bit trickier. Wish me luck!
