Ahhh, week 3 is complete. Physical I feel great and healthy. A little hungry at times, especially at night. Last night I had a huge cheat meal, Sweet and Sour Chicken with my one of my firefighters. Not a significant change in weight according to the Tanita (Body Fat Machine) but significant changes in my torso size and vascularity.

Well gang, week number one is almost complete! And the transition between eating whatever, to a more structure and healthier diet has been surprisingly easy. It has been 5 years since I have been this stringent but this weeks results were worth it. There is a noticeable decrease in water retention which has yielded more muscle definition and an increase in energy levels all day long thanks to less processed foods in my diet. Processed foods really do affect the mid-afternoon circadian rhythm dips that many people experience. I believe my ease to doing so well this week was due to logging every meal and workout in my 12 week training journal. Yesterday, August 15, 2007, I took some pictures and will continue to chart my progress.
