today’s cardio

OK so I am back to logging my cardio, because I know if I have to write it in the book I will be more committed to doing it!
So today I did 45 minutes on the treadmill.  My foot seemed to take it ok so maybe I can do treadmill regularly again.  I think I prefer the elliptical but it is easier to get a better workout on the treadmill, with the incline and speed adjustments.
So I did 45 minutes for 2.25 miles (avg speed 3.0 MPH) with speeds ranging from 3.0 to 3.7 and inclines ranging from 3.0 to 4.5!  I feel good although very sweaty…we will see how I feel tomorrow.
I really felt Firday nights workout yesterday…my glutes hurt when I stood, when I sat, when I breathed!!! so I guess we really hit them good.  It was a good hurt though!
So I am committing to 30 to 45 minutes a day of cardio every day (except possibly on resistance training days, depending on whether or not I get up early enough to do it on those days.)

Hey Mike, looking great! How is the cardio going? You sounded very motivated to hit the gym eveyday and hope your transformation is going well. I have a few cardio tips I could share with you if you hit a plateau. Wish you the best of luck.

I ran across your blog and wanted to encourage you to keep at it! It sounds like you’re doing a great job. Keep at that Cardio, it will help you set a good baseline for increasing your overall fitness. I read your "Fat Mikey" post and wanted to say that I was in the same place as a youngster and have always struggled with my weight. I’m so encouraged to see guys who are sticking to it and keeping themselves in the gym. I have so much going on these days it’s sometimes difficult to get up in the morning and get ‘er done, but it’s worth it. Thanks for blogging, maybe I’ll start too!
