So glad we’re back to CrossFit! Seriously kicks my butt. Can’t wait to kick my cold though. I start feeling better, then get into it and lose energy so quickly. Tonight I’ll take off and just rest, go to bed early, then try it again tomorrow.
Yesterday:
4 rounds
- 15 pull ups
- 15 bench dips
- 15 knee to elbows
- 15 burpees
Good stuff right there!

Well, tried p90x. Liked it, Tony’s a riot. Just wasn’t my thing though. Workouts were much longer and far more frequent then I could really keep up with. Work full time, have two little ones, very tough to fit in an hour and a half 6 days a week. SO, back to CrossFit! LOVE CrossFit!! Feeling it already. Sore all over. Did I mention I love it?!
Last nights Deadlifts:
- 135lbsx1
- 155lbsx1
- 170lbsx1
- 170lbsx1
- 170lbsx1
- 170lbsx1
- 170lbsx1

Well, Mt Rainier was a bit of a bust… for me anyway. Very VERY disapponiting. Broke my heart a little. I did just awful. I am blaming it on the rough weekend I had before we left. There is a small amount of comfort in that. Very little sleep, pretty poor nutrition. Spent a significant amount of time in the ER the day before, nothing life threatening, but still exhausting… and late. Bed around mid-night and hardly slept even then. Worst display of strength I have shown in quite some time. Grandmas and little kids were passing me… WHILE I could still see the PARKING LOT!!! Now, no telling me "It’s ok, at least you tried, that is impressive in itself," or "you did your best, you should be proud." Because as many of us here know I’m sure, sometimes our best is still disappointing and NOT good enough. In this case I KNOW that I can do better, I have done better before (did I mention that I didn’t even make it halfway!!!). And I’m not beating myself up. I am aware that I had some things going against me here. I just wanted the opportunity to do something I have never done before, push myself farther then I ever have before. Just didn’t turn out that way and THAT is very disappointing. HOWEVER, I will be back at it on Monday and looking forward to the next goal… whatever that may be. Hopefully, I’ll get a shot at it again next year.

I WISH I had the energy of that little bunny. I was beat last night. Sat around the gym deciding what to do for a half hour or more. Miss my workout partner’s forceful motivation and sometimes literal kick in the butt. I am SO sore from the earlier workouts this week, that my arms and upper back were pretty much useless, so I made up my own Workout Of the Day. Here it is…
5 rounds of..
- 30 1-leg squats w the 45lb bar
- 15 jump squats
Was pretty tough, though I’m not as sore as I was hoping to be today. Tomorrow will tell for sure.

So last night was CrossFit’s Angie. DANG she is TOUGH! For time, 100 pull-ups, 100 push-up, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats. OUCH! Now my max ever for pull-ups is a whole 3 of them, so I did pull downs instead. Last time I did this, I did 50lb pull downs and completed the whole workout in about 29 mins. Last night I did 70lbsx50 and 50lbsx50 and completed it in 27:04. Feels SOOO good when you kick your old record in the butt! ….sad that no one was there to see it though.

3 weeks till the climb and my workout Partner has taken off to go save the world. So I have to push myself for the next two weeks. Ahk! Will be challenging and very good for me. Tough to workout against yourself. But last night wasn’t too bad. Anyway, here’s what I did….
3 Rounds of:
- 10×135lb Deadlifts
- 30×95lb Squats
- 400m Run
Good stuff. Twice as hard being 75 degrees and muggy in the shop too. Loved it… can’t wait to go out again tonight!

Just another one to add to the growing list of fantastic workouts lately. Wasn’t feelin it today, pretty tired, that is where excellent workout partners come in handy. Pumped me up, had a great warm up, and finished the following…..

- 75lb Thrusters
- 70lb Pulldowns
- Box Jumps
- 10lb Wallball Situps
Felt GREAT and I am ready to kick some more butt today!!! Then we’ll take a couple days off to prepare for our climb to Muir on Saturday.

So, I have been talked into hiking to Camp Muir on Mt Rainier with some friends who will be summiting the mountain this summer. I will really need to get my butt in gear if I am going to keep up with these crazy people. The climb to Muir (basecamp for the climbers) is 4.5. The first half 1800′ in elevation the second 2800′!!! 6+ hours of one foot infront of the other. It is going to KICK my BUTT! I can’t WAIT!!! BRING IT ON!

GREAT week! Only made it twice, but they were good ones. Love feeling sore the next day. The new progress pics really inspired me too. I was feeling like I would never catch back up at the pace I was going. After my beautiful friend took some pics and I saw some real progress I feel pretty good about the two days a week I can make it in. It seems to be working WOOHOO! Thanks for everyones encouragement!!
