Heavy leg presses, and heavy squats keep the weight high enough so you fail at ten to twelve reps. Do drop sets on the leg extension and curl machine. and use the leg press for calves, don’t lock out your knees. Hit them as hard as you can once a week till you can’t walk right. They’ll grow, good luck.

Legs can be a pain, but they are the largest body part. I would switch from higher sets to something like a 5X5 set for squats and maybe deadlift. Then 3 days later hit front squats on a 5×5. The one thing about legs is they will never grow doing leg extensions, that gives you seperation but absolutely no growth. That is why bodybuilders work super heavy squats, deadlifts, front squats, hack squats all year then the last 6-12 weeks switch to shaping those large masses with the appropriate movements. Good luck, the good thing is any day of the week you can get a leg workout in. Where the boys have the chest and arms tied up M-F. No one likes legs, if you work them right you will and may feel sick due to the lactic acid build up. Not pleasant. Defintely make sure your getting 1 gallon of water and the appropriate levels of protein.

Ditto above. Go heavy & hard on legs. Squats, squats, squats (& hack squats, leg presses, etc). I’m TOTALLY spent after leg day, but that’s what ya need. Good luck!

I’m with you! I talk to my legs and shoulders on a regular basis….they are like my daughter, they just won’t listen!

A track athlete at the university i attended told me that running sprints and doing plyo would really help. I can see a difference since he told me

This is what I do for each leg workout:
Leg extensions,
squats,
front squats,
walking lunges,
lying leg curls,
standing leg curls,
split squats,
seated leg curl,
hack squats.
Go as heavy as you can. Work the hell out of your legs.

I work my legs pretty hard - They’re just very stubborn…the one body part that’s really lacking on me right now!
Thanks for the tips, guys (and girls)!! You all rock
