12 day rotation, day-3, week-2

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Yesterday I worked on back and abs.  It was a good lift and I did it early before my conference started.  I felt pretty energized throughout the lift.  I’m still recovering from my quad workout from yesterday, so walking around I felt a little sore.  On thing I have to say being at Gold’s Gym, it has ok equipment.  The gym seemed to be a little outdated with low ceilings, but it was right next to my hotel.  I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone, but if you need to have a gym next to the Sheraton hotel in Seattle, it will fit the bill.

12 day rotation, day-2, week 2

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Late post:  This occured yesterday.  OK, so I’m in Seattle, Washington looking for a gym.  At first I checked the hotel gym and found nothing that I could really use.  I asked the front desk and was told Gold’s Gym was across the street at the Seattle trade center, so there I went.

The place was a ghost town.  Apparently its the type of gym that is used during the week when people are on their lunch break.  Anyways, there I was doing the thing I don’t like to do and that is squats.  Considering I left my house at 3:30am to catch a 5:45 flight with a 3 hr layover, I didn’t do so bad.

I’m off to go see the space needle.

 Take care!

12 day rotation, day 1, week 2

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

I was really eager to get in my lift today.  I worked on biceps, triceps and abs.  I enjoy lifting on the weekends, because most people are away from the gym and I can go about my business with no delays.  In recently added supinating DB curls to my routine, and I really feel the burn with that workout.  Hope everyone out there is having a great Saturday.  I’m off to start packing for my travel.

Good morning everyone!

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

I have a busy day today.  Gym, shopping, house cleaning, bill paying (yuck) and packing for my business travel.  I can’t wait to get to the gym.  Today is my favorite lift.  Biceps/triceps.  I look forward to a good burn and can’t wait to get in there.  My son will go with me too and he just loves the kids club.  For only $10 bucks a month, that is a heck of a deal for child care, especially for how much I go.

Have a great day everyone and I’ll catch you all later today!

Day 10 of 12 day rotation

Friday, April 25th, 2008

I was work off today, so I was able to work out with the people at the gym who either are wealthy, work during the evening hrs, retired or called off work for being sick, lame or lazy.  It was a good lift day.  I felt good and pretty energized.  I worked on chest, shoulders and abs.  I’m still feeling good about this program.  I tend to push myself more knowing that I’m doing body building the correct way, not like I was doing before when I was over doing it.  It is so true that you can always learn something new and that is exactly what I have done.  I thank the people here on BB.Com.  There are times that I think I may get a personal trainer, but why should I when I can get great information from the forums.

After the lift I had a good run.  Its interesting to run when your upper body is pumped up.  At times I felt too top heavy :)

I’ll be lifting again tomorrow and then I will be on travel to Seattle, Washington.  I hope there is enough lifting equipment at the hotel gym, or a good gym is located near by the hotel.

I’m a slacker today!

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Ok, so yesterday I had a good lift working out my hamstrings and calves.  I planned on doing a nice light run today, but unfortunately I forgot my running shoes.  I’d drive home, but I am 60 miles away from my residence and with the cost of gas being $3.89 per gallon, I don’t think so.  Yes, this is the price I pay for living in a state full of sunshine, beaches, amusement parks, etc.., in addition to the inflated medical costs, insurance fees, state and property taxes, crowed Emergency Rooms, impacted infrastructure from the undocumented aliens present…

But it’s a great place to go running right?

Day 9 of 12 day rotation

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

I felt energized in the gym, until I started doing Stiff Leg Dead Lifts.  Not fun for someone who has neglected leg workouts for a while.  It was burning bigtime.  Funny, there was a time in my life that all I did was leg workouts and neglected the upper body.  It seems like in reverse right now.  I have to remember that I did go running earlier today.

Day 8 of 12 day rotation

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

It was great to get back into the gym after a long day in the office and coming off of a rest day.  I felt energized and the workout was good.  I worked on Back and Abs.  Something to note: Recently I changed my workout and I have been getting the proper rest as needed.  I also changed my Whey Protein from GNC Wheybolic 60 to ALLMAX Isoflex (Mint chocolate-good stuff).  I appeared larger overall and my veins have really been showing up.  Maybe it’s all finally coming together…

Day 7 of 12 day rotation

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Rest from lifting, but I did run 3 miles today.  I hope everyone else had a great lift.  I’ll be there tomorrow.

Good morning from California!

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Ok, some guy named Jack taught me something years ago.  Jack was in his 90s.  When I said good morning to Jack and asked him how was he doing, he always replied with a smile, "fine thanks, I woke up breathing today!" He told me waking up in the morning was half the battle in life.  What a simple thought, but how true.

So, in saying that you are alive and enjoy the day.  Have a great lift today.

As for myself, today is rest day.  What the heck shall I do with myself?
