I have worked out 3x this week. I’m really proud of myself. I ran a 5K in 26min. All is well.

This is my latest workout. every other day w/ cardio on the non weight days…i prefer 30+min steady state because it clears my mind. The goal is to complete 4 circuits in 1hr.
1. run 1/4mi at 7-8mph at 1.5 incline
2. 15lb, 8-10 reps each: standing alt bicep curl, 1 legged lunge, tricep kickback (12lb), OH shoulder press with plie squat, bentover db row, pushups with db inhand. 1 ab exercise till fatigue.
3. repeat with next weight used being 20lb db except for 12 for triceps cuz they aren’t that strong.
yesterday i got through it twice in 30min and everything is sore except calves (and i didnt work them) and lower back so i’m gonna try to target those after cardio today.
And eating is kind of going ok. Thinks are finally getting back to how they used to be

So i just finished my first clinical rotation and i managed to only lose 2lb! So i’m now sitting at a (for me) skinny 125. And Its not muscle. I wouldn’t say i’m skinny fat, but my butt just isn’t perky. i still have my youth on my side but I can’t live like this. So i’m gettin back to it this week. I went back to the gym yesterday. Funny thing is that I asked for a towel and the attendant said "we haven’t had towels for months now"
If i wasn’t black I woulda blushed!!! HEHEHEHE. I’m back! I’m thin and Its gonna be really easy to get cut.

I ran 7mi in under 61minutes. If you can’t do the math, I’ll do it for you, thats less than 8.75min per mi. I wasn’t even that tired. Admittedly I was a bit upset about things that had happened earlier that day so maybe I had nervous energy to get off. But whatever, I run so much faster than I thought I would be able to. Lifting and perfect eating starts next monday…this is my last week of summer class so I have an excuse.

So I studied and partied responsibily…what young people do. And didn’t lift a darn thing. I weighed in at 126.4 this morning which means I am losing more weight. I need to lift and gain some muscle!!!!! I have two weeks left of classes and then I’ll be lifting like a maniac for three weeks till school starts again

Running is fine and I love it the most so at least I’m happy about that.

Today i ran 5mi at 8:40 per mile. I have never run over 3 mi that fast before. I’m so proud. Yesterday I did upper body…biceps, chest and back are sore. So i’m gonna need to go back to the gym for tris and delts. I want to fit in a little leg work, especially exercises that stabilized the knees too
…its already friday so i guess i’ll do legs tonite
another set of upper body sat or sun. I have a 5 or 6mi run for sunday… i dont know which distance i want to do yet. Not too bad.

I love race training. It is so much fun. And the lifting that I get in is getting very creative. I’ve started boxing, doing compound movements, my appetite is coming back (probably due to the running) and I’m generally happy. I’m happy for my emotional, physical and mental improvements over the last month.

So i’m almost done with classes. I’ve got a plan to run 13 mi total this week. Lifting is secondary to race training but Its still getting done. I can’t lift like a crazy woman and do the race training cuz of school but I like my priorities. I’m trying to work the core cuz i’m doing so much cardio I may as well have nice abs and lower back.
Otherwise, all is well. No complaints. I’m enjoying every step of my race training. Knock on wood I proceed without injury.

Hmm, i have nothing to say really. Just that I’m running and focusing on abs this week. I worked hams and glutes yesterday and ran this morning…ouch! All is well, hope everyone has a great week.
