Rethinking white carbs
I met with my trainer & nutritionist yesterday for contest prep diet & workouts. Apparently everyone responds differently to white and brown carbs. I was so convinced the starch in white rice and potatoes really bad for the body. Great part of hiring a trainer is tweaking my diet each week. I’m going to start eating white carbs to see if I bloat or lean. Will switch if not achieving desired results. So here’s my new diet and split:
AM - Cardio Monday through Sunday…constant cardio!
5:00 - 2 Hydroxy Cut
5:30 - 45 minutes cardio MHR 70-80%; Spinning, Stair Stepper or fast-paced Treadmill walk on high incline
7:00 - 2 Super Earth multi-vitamins, 2 Thyrolean, 6 egg whites, 3/4 cup of plain oatmeal
10:00 - 4oz chicken breast, 6oz white potato, 1/2 cup broccoli
PM-
1:00 - 2 multi-vitamins, 2 Thyrolean, 4oz Tilapia, 3/4 cup white rice, 1/2 cup broccoli
4:00 - 4oz super lean ground beef, 4oz white potato
4:30 - 1 serving White Flood (NO2)
5:00 - Lift 55 minutes non-stop intensity; high rep with max weight while keeping good form (see split below)
6:00 - 1 scoop Isopure zero carb whey with 1 scoop Volugro (creatine & glycogen loader) & water
7:30 - 2 multi-vitamins, 2 Thyrolean, 4oz Tilapia, 1/2 cup broccoli
8:30 - 3mg Melatonin
9:00 - bed time & set alarm for 10:30 snack
10:30 - 1 scoop ProPeptide (probiotic/ casein protein) with water
New lifting split; train 3 days, off 1, train 2 days, off 1:
Work outs -
1 - Chest & Bis
2 - Quads, Adductor, Abductor & calves
3 - Shoulders & Tris
4 - Back & calves
5 - Hams, Bis & Tris
The trick to this plan is to eat and train the same time daily because the body loves consistency. I will skip the 6pm meal on non-training days and set an alarm to wake for 10:30pm snack. I take the Melatonin to fall asleep for the early morning cardio. Wow, what a plan, wish me luck!

White rice and potatoes are E-V-I-L! Just my limited perspective…..

Good grief, that’s brutal. Nothing comes easy, right. I’ve seen bodies do very strange things on white carbs. I’ll take a post-workout bolus of simple carbs but it’s often counter-productive, as they really tend to satiate me. Like bodyauditor’s likely complaint, they smooth me over lightning-fast. It’ll be interesting what they do for you! Best of luck! al
