It’s been sometime since my last update, sorry for the wait ! I’ve been busy with stuff in the office, shifting of stuff and personal matters. Been to the gym a little less frequent probably twice a week down from my thrice a week affair. But still i maintained my 5X5 some what, some weeks excluding a certain session.
Current PRs:
Bench: 68.2 kg (150 lb)
Squat: 95.5 kg (210 lb)
Barbell Rows: 65.9 kg (145 lb)
Deadlift: 95.5 kg (210 lb)
Overhead Press: 31.8 kg (70 lb)
Weighted Dips: 18.2kg (40 lb)
Weighted Decline Situps: 15.9kg (35 lb)
My squats have improved quite a bit to 210lbs. Hopefully progressing to double 45lb plates for my Squats and Deadlifts. Bench Presses have halted quite a bit. still stuck at 150lbs. Only managing to clear the 5 reps of the 5th set marginally.
My bodyweight is currently stuck at 66.8kg, probably that might be the reason for my Bench Press, but i’m progressing on my Squats and Deadlifts still. I haven’t really been maintaining a very strict diet, not as strict as before my 3 week hiatus. But my BF feels quite lean right now and i still feel good.
Having a hard time training shoulders as well, there was a week where it hurt when i did my bench and my military presses and even dips. but it healed fine after a week, so i didn’t really take notice of that.
Was intending to get wrist straps for my deadlifts and rows, but apparently, it pretty hard to find them here in Singapore.
Well, Merry Christmas too all, enjoy the food and festivities !!! and also wishing one and all a Happy New Year and 2007 !!!!

Back from 3 week hiatus (1 week wisdom tooth removal, 1 week Hong Kong Trip, 1 week rest)
Weight dropped quite a fair bit, lucky for me i didn’t lose as much muscle as compared to fats from bulking. dropped from being 68.6kg to 66.4kg.
Decided to change my Incline Bench Presses to do Standing Military Presses.
luckily my lifts aren’t really affected, only for my Squats which i had to drop 10lbs from 205lbs to 195lbs. but deadlifts kept going up, bench press remained for my week back and rows kept increasing.
so current PRs:
Bench: 68.2 kg (150 lb)
Squat: 88.6 kg (195 lb)
Barbell Rows: 63.6 kg (140 lb)
Deadlift: 93.2 kg (205 lb)
Overhead Press: 31.8 kg (70 lb)
Currently, supplement intake is dropped from 3 to 4 times of Protein Shake a day to 2 times on workout days and 1 time on non workout days. Multi-Vits are taken once to twice a day.
Let’s hope everything gets back on track. after losing all that fat during my trip, and looking at a little more cuts from my bulking, i’ve decided not to get too excessively big, but still i gotta work more on my chests, abs, back and getting more definition overall.

Coming back from a 3 week break and a holiday took it’s toll a little. Having walked for endless hours during my trip to Hong Kong for 5 days, i swore my calves should have gotten more defined. lol.
Started off with lesser weights than my prev PRs just to get back the momentum. Squats felt really bad.

f**king mouth is killing me .. b**ch. Have a flu which is making things worse. Gonna see the doctor tmr and hopefully rest another day. Tuesday remove the stitches and an analysis from the dental surgeon (fuktard). seriously i will never remove my teeth in a government hospital or clinic ever again, well, i don’t have anymore wisdom tooth to take out.
Friday is Hong Kong already, which is so soon. I seriously need to get better. I can’t imagine not enjoying eating in Hong Kong. Should have just waited to take out my last tooth. Apparantly, the week before the rescheduling of the removal my tooth, it actually hurt and the gums was sore. So it was “infected” pre-op and cause of that and me being the last patient of the day, my stupid gums decided to stop working and let the bleeding go on and on. And hell like bleeding wasn’t enough, the pain was horrible.
Stupid pain went on through thursday, friday and saturday. Caused me sleepless nights of like 3 hours sleep cause the stupid pain killers started to wear off, and for the 3 days, i practically only had a small bowl of porridge to last me the entire day. Oh the muscles I’ve lost.
Now the pain is setting back in, it’s like a pain from the nerves and not like a pain from a scratch. So this causes me headaches as well as pain “IN” the teeth and gums. prevents me from sleeping. gonna pop in all the stupid pills and wait for it to take effect and zzzz.
sheeeeeeeesh.

just removed my wisdom tooth at 6pm after waiting for 2 hours in the day-surgery clinic. Had to do a minor Op to remove the tooth cause it was impacted and embedded in the gums. After the surgery, went back home and i was fine, tried taking soft foods and drinking water. Soon later it started to hurt real bad and it started bleeding alot. kept changing gauze after gauze but still the kept bleeding. The pain was excruciating, i swore my head was throbbing like nuts as the local anesthesia started to wear off.
finally i couldn’t take it any longer so i got my mom and dad together with my gf to bring me to the A&E at the hospital cause the rest of the clinics were closed including the dental clinic. Took a jab that helped quite abit, asked me to sit outside for an hour, went back into the room but still the bleeding persisted, so they sent me to the observation room for another hour, bleeding still persisted. So they called for the dental surgeon from another hospital to come over to take a look.
Finally, i got more local anesthesia, more stitches and another long anesthesia to last me the night. what a hell of a night. i will see how my condition is like on monday and whether i’d be able to hit the gym, otherwise i will probably take a break off gym for two weeks and will be back after i come back from Hong Kong.
Time of events:
6.00pm - Day Surgery to remove tooth
7.00pm - Home Dinner
8.30pm - A&E
10.30pm - Observation Ward
12.00am - Dental Surgeon
1.15am - Home

Incline Bench Press (1 set of 5) 140 - failed at 2nd rep
Deadlift (4 sets of 5) 135, 150, 170, 190
Standing Military Press (4 sets of 5) 50, 55, 65, 65
Self Reflections:
Doing two 5X5 workout days back to back is quite a bad idea. i couldn’t complete my incline bench for a new PR. So basically i’m stuck at 135lbs for say 3 weeks. I’m considering switching Incline Bench to Standing Military Presses instead, is that a good idea ?? Realised i have week shoulders/delts. And seems like i’m concentrating too much on my pecs for incline bench press that my shoulders aren’t really worked out that well.
Decided i might want to cut down my Protein shake intake to 3 times a day instead of 4. I dunno if the excessive whey is good for the body. More protein from chicken breast / fish / eggs to supplement instead.
Gotta order a new tub of ON 100% Whey to come next monday preferably. Wondering what flavour to get this time round. I’m getting kind of sick of vanilla and the cookies and cream. Probably getting Choco Mint
