Currently, my trainers have me working out in a program called 1/3’s. Its really difficult and a great shock to your muscles. Its like 21’s for your biceps except you use on your whole body.
For example: in a leg routine, you would do 4 sets of squats in a normal manner. Then you would do leg ext with a pause at the 1/3 way up, 2/3’s way up and at the top. then the same on the way back to the start position.
Anyone interested, just drop me a line and I’ll explain more if needed. Enjoy your workout!!!

Recently I have had a lot of feedback about strategies in bulking: I think that the great advice that I have recieved from really cool people on here, helped me to sort some of the confusion out. Its hard to know where to go with so many published trains of thought. Thank you to everyone who helped!

Well, it is definatly better for me than the whole body routine. I am on a pretty intense schedule. I lift 5 days a week, very heavy but with some reps at 16 and 60% of my max. I killed triceps today on this workout. I love it and I am here for 4 weeks. Take care, Linda

I have moved back to split routines. Two body parts a day! I recieved a lot of advice from other bodyspace people. It was very helpful in suggesting to trainers where I would like to go next. I decided to go with the 2 bodyparts a day, 3 sets and 8-10 reps for each exercise.
Today was my first day back to the split routine. I definately noticed a positive difference in the increased strength I acquired. For everything that the total body routine is not. i think it helped me to train in a different way and even break a plateau. Thanks everyone for your comments!

I am definately changing my routine. I did become tired of the total body routine and miss that pump. I love doing 2 bodyparts per training session. Let you know how it is.

I don’t do the Total Body Routine because I don’t have enough time. Its to shock your system and overload it in a way. You are doing all body parts 5x a week. it also speed up your metabolism and leans you out. Not that I am worried about that now. I didn’t like the TBR at first, but it has it place.

I have to say, that I was skeptical of the total body routine. I didn’t feel like I was doing enough of a work out while doing the TBR. I am shocked at how sore I was post w/o so far and I have alos made jumps in the amount of weight I can lift.
I know other people who are currently using it and are alos impressed. If you are stuck give it a try. You can find examples on bodybuilding.com

I am switching my routine from low reps to a total body routine. This is suppose to shock my system, then I go back to what I was doing before, high sets/low reps. we’ll see and I will let you know……
