People all in my business

I am training to do competitions in the future. I am working hard on my diet but I am naturally thick so it takes a while. I am tired of people saying I am crazy for doing this. People always said negative things about something they know nothing about. People want the easy way out. Fast food, etc. Sure I get tired at times but I look at my progress and I want to continue. I wish I had more people in my life that would support me and not tear me down. I am very active in the community so food is in my face all of the time. I have good down south cooking in my face all day everyday. I just need to stay focused and my willpower comes into play everyday. Cheating for me now consists of extra oatmeal and peanut butter lol. I am trying to hang in there but the road has been a lonely one to travel. If I said hey lets go eat out and get drunk I will have a gang of peeps with me. If I say lets go to the gym and eat healthy people are like I dont think so. My friends dont have to do like me but do not shoot me down for it. I do not shoot people who choose unhealthy lifestyles down. I know how it is to be unhealthy and its a easy life. You eat what u want when u want and no exercise. You also have a big ass and cellulite. I want to be small so I will put in work. I had to get this off my chest. Usually I dont bitch like this maybe its the low carbs. I dont know.

it is what it is. my momma always said that the path to excellence is a lonely one. find people who share your passion and ride with them. dudes in my circle do the same thing; it got to the point that they don’t know that I work out or take care of myself, or eat a certain way, etc; they find it a sign of weakness to care about one’s well being.

in the end, you’re doing the right thing for you and I’m sure a whole bunch of heads on bodyspace got your back.

do your thing. people hating is confirmation that you’re moving in the right direction. let em hate.

Hey I know exactly how you feel! People love to be negative when it comes to a healthy lifestylfe because it makes them feel guilty about their unhealthy lives. Hang in their and remember why you are doing this. It’s for you not them! :)

Thanks guys for the comments. Also I get mad because I pack my food so that I do not have to bother anyone and they still get an attitude when I break out the containers or the protein drink. I never inconvenience anyone

I know what you mean! I started out just wanting to ‘lose weight’ and I got alot of support. Then the weight started coming off and the compliments started comning. I started carrying around a large cooler, gallon of water, and taking vitamins–and THEN I was ‘doing too much’. Forty plus pounds later I was ‘wasting away’, ‘too skinny’, and ‘deteriorating’. But I feel better than BEFORE I had a child!

Keep doing what you are doing. For some, it is hard to see what is possible when you put in the WORK–and it is alot of work. Keep going you have an AWESOME physique for competiting!

I soooo understand what you are going through. Although, I’ve just started my transformation. People have told me that I look "fine" and that I don’t need to lose any weight, but they also see me with my clothes on-LOL…People I know who are big better say that size 8 is good girl, why are you trying to lose weight etc…

Just recently, I was headed to the gym on my lunch break and this girl saw me with my gym bag (and I see her often although I personally don’t know her) anyway, as I was getting off the elevator I heard her say to her friend, "that I wouldn’t want to do that everyday" and that day I worked out extra hard for ME!!!
