well since 4/17/09 i am a nsca-cpt. i accomplished my second goal of maintaining a 4.0 over spring semester. however my third goal was not achieved, i let my physique slip some.
this summer i will be returning to the outer banks of north carolina to work at ocean atlantic rentals and hopefully start personal training at spa koru in avon. i would like to live in avon after i graduate and begin my career at spa koru. i love the small town atmosphere on the beach. it is a beautiful area and waking up every day so close to the water is my dream. not to mention having beach access for personal training purposes is wonderful.
i am actually battling some sort of eating disorder right now. i need to remember that food is fuel and fuel only. my relationship with food needs much change. right now its some sort of consolation or compulsive addiction rather than daily nourishment. i wonder if anyone else has gone through such an emotion. if you have i would love to hear some positive advice. its hard on the self image to be a personal trainer and have some sort of eating disorder.
comments would be appreciated.

i am really looking forward to summer and not only because of warm weather but i will finally be able to start my day off with cardio again. to me there is no greater feeling in the world than starting the day off with a good sweat and calorie burn.
with my current job i work at 6 am and none of my gyms open earlier than 515. poor poor. but the end is in sight. i am tired of dreading old cardio all day long. first thing in the morning gives me no time to second guess myself or think about how sore i am or get lazy!
and although i will be taking 12 credit hours of classes i will be able to pull 30 hours a week work and possibly more while still having enough time to train and prepare meals haha yes!
things are looking up and once the summer semester is over i will be rewarding my hard work with a week long trip to my second home hatteras island avon, north carolina!!!!!! for a little fun in the sun

my entire life i have had a problem with eating my meals way too fast, as if i am running a 100 meter dash. as a result i never feel satisfied after firsts and then continued on to seconds. as i do another sprint i usually start to feel satisfied but never full, and occasionally would continue to thirds and complete discomfort. it eventually led to a 220 lb 5′11" 8th grader with minimal muscle. an unhappy, fat, timid human being with some bad anxiety issues (nothing medical but lack of confidence, nervousness, etc.)
once i finally started to control this aspect of my life i realized that i had acquired this unhealthy habit from my father, who still uses and abuses this method.
and as there is no sure fire way to eliminate the problem except by your own will i did find a method that helps. the next time you sit down to enjoy some fish or chicken, brown rice or sweet potato, and some veggies (what we health minded souls sometimes enjoy and sometimes merely choke down with confidence our body appreciates it at least) definitely turn the television off and concentrate on what you are doing. be present for every bite, not in fairy tale television land. once you have accomplished this here comes the trick…
pop in some classical music on your ipod or radio and turn it to mid volume..
it works wonders for relaxation and in a way slows your world down a little bit so you can enjoy and savor every bite of nutritious _____ (fill in the blank with whatever you are eating).
give it a try! i hope this helps in reaching all your goals! have a good day

Tell me how you jazz up the typical bodybuilder foods to make them taste delicious?
I’ll start by saying
Cinnamon and Stevia over a Baked Sweet Potato mmmmmmmm

i am just looking for a general consensus on whether or not i should go vegetarian? currently i pretty much stick with chicken , fish, cottage cheese, and egg whites during the week for protein, and lean red meat on sundays. sometimes i feel that my body is working so hard to digest all these animal proteins…
i may just cut the fish & chicken, and leave the egg whites and cottage cheese as they digest more easily.
give me your feedback people because i would love to hear your thoughts
