I wanted to max out before i started my regiment. I started with my bench, i had been going to the gym once a week due to my 2 jobs and school….. So i was surprised when my bench was that high. This week i quit my second job, i know that right now i am going to be a little tight, but i didn’t have any time for school, the gym, or my family. My school, family and my body are really important to me, and since i was gettiong so out of shape and everything else that fell with the fact of not having time, i decided to quit. I feel relief in a way, now i will have some time for myself and my family. I wish the best to you all.

For the first time i can sypmpathise with those that claim that they do not have time for the gym……. For the last month i have been working from 7:00 am to 1:00 am, 2 jobs, and i have not been able to make it to the gym, my eating habits have gone down the drain, all i have time for is Fast food on the fly……. I wanna keep my 2 jobs, well more like i need to keep my 2 jobs, but at the same time, i have no time for the Gym. I get home at 1:30, hit the bed, wake up at 6:00 then have to be at work at 7:00, that’s 4 1/2 hours of sleep, that leaves no time, for the gym………The one day i do have off, Sunday, and one day at the gym makes no difference……. I think i have gained a little over 5 lbs since this 2 job juggling act started…..I am the type that even looks at a cookie and gain a pound…… I am frustrated….. as soon as i get home i am like a zombie heading for the bedroom, i don’t have much time to prepare meals,……. i sound like the people that i have never had sympahy for, the people that make " EXCUSES "….. do i have a valid excuse, or am i just giving up?????

So, the day before yesterday i finally started working out after not workingout for 5 years due to my spine injury, with free weights. I maxed out on bench at 280 lbs. This morning i decided to go a bit higher for my 2 reps ( my workout is 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 ) so i put 300 lbs on the bar, and to my surprise i was able to lift it twice with no problem. 5 years ago i was benchin 380, could it be possible that in 5 years i only lost like 30-40 lbs off my bench. The 300 lbs twice were kinda no sweat too, so i am thinking im probably at 320-330 on one rep max.

I was lifting just shy of 400 lbs before i hurt my back, after that, i haven’t lifted, actual free weights in 5 years. Yesterday i finally went to the gym with my buddy who just got back from Iraq, after 5 years of not lifting free weights and hitting 280 lbs, i think that is good for me. I am very happy, i thought i was going to be at like 200 lbs or so…… My goal is 400 lbs, in about a year, i have to take it slow since i don’t want to risk it with my back and all…..

For the past 3 weeks i have been trying to move to a new place. Working 7 am to 4 pm, and all day on the weekends, and using all the free time i had left for moving, was horrible for me and my body. I was so tired everyday that i didn’t hit the gym in almost 3 weeks, then, i gained 5 pounds…….5 pounds, for me thats A LOT!!!!! its so hard for me to drop weight, and now i am almost at step 1 again…….needless to say, im pretty bumed out, but its my fault only….. no one elses. From reading all my current blogs, i can see a pattern, i make up excuses, i need to stick to it, and not get off of it. Its hard, difficult, etc….

So after my hand surgery, i was told that i would not gain full range of motion back due to the severity of the tendon damage…….After 3 months, i do have all of my range of motion and im about 99% pain free !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!, every now and then certain movements hurt, but the pain is like a 5 from 1-10, so its pretty good. I was able to recover a lot faster than anyone expected. SO now that i can fully hit up the bench press, i will see results. Talk about being relieved, i thought i was never going to be able to workout at 100% again.
