Bench, 315 lbs.

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Finally i have my true Max, its 315….. i think thats ok, i was hoping more of 330 or so…….but that will do…..i have a year to get to my goal of 400 lbs…. I know my body is capable of 380, that was my max before my spine injury, so i know i can get there, beyond the 380, we will have to see…..

300 on bench this morning !!!!!

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

So, the day before yesterday i finally started working out after not workingout for 5 years due to my spine injury, with free weights. I maxed out on bench at 280 lbs. This morning i decided to go a bit higher for my 2 reps ( my workout is 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 ) so i put 300 lbs on the bar, and to my surprise i was able to lift it twice with no problem. 5 years ago i was benchin 380, could it be possible that in 5 years i only lost like 30-40 lbs off my bench. The 300 lbs twice were kinda no sweat too, so i am thinking im probably at 320-330 on one rep max.

280 lbs on bench , sweet!!!!

I know to most 280 lbs on bench is nothing, and 5 years ago, before my spine injury, it was nothing for me too. I was lifting just shy of 400 lbs before i hurt my back, after that, i haven’t lifted, actual free weights in 5 years. Yesterday i finally went to the gym with my buddy who just got back from Iraq, after 5 years of not lifting free weights and hitting 280 lbs, i think that is good for me. I am very happy, i thought i was going to be at like 200 lbs or so…… My goal is 400 lbs, in about a year, i have to take it slow since i don’t want to risk it with my back and all…..
