Regionals were last Thursday, so I got to skip school and spend the night in a hotel in Bay City Texas. It was a lot of fun, the regional meet consists of the top twelve lifters from each weight class. I qualified with a total weight of 595 pounds. But my total for the regional meet was 605. I cheated myself though. on my last deadlift attempt I got 275 up easy but right at my hip it slipped out my left hand…. I was so pissed. My attempt on deadlift before that was 265 and so i ended up with that weight. If I had gotten 275 I would have gotten 5th place instead of 6th which makes me even more angry! But right now I’m just glad I got to go to regionals, i was the only girl from my school who qualified and it was my first year doing it so I’m pretty pleased with myself. But today is even better because I got a call from a div. II college softball coach, she said she wants me on their team and that if i would go out to the campus and visit, that the school would be able to pay for most of my expenses. So I right now I am really really happy about that. Our district games start a week from today and hopefully I will do good in the tournament coming up this weekend!

Ok, well im finally feeling better hopefully now that ive been sick twice my body will be immune to any other flu or cold thats goin around. We started our softball scrimmages about a week and a half ago, and now we are 4-2. Our first real game will be this tuesday and hopefully we will start off the real season right! Since Ive been sick I havnt had much of an apetite and ive been really active so ive lost some weight. I lost that nice new noticeable mass I was getting in my chest and arms, now im just back to being scrawny. But, I’m still just as strong as I was back then when I was lifting hard every day so I’m a lil confused. I don’t really mind though because if I lose another 2 pounds I will be in the 123 weight class. That will allow me to compete in both the 132 (because I already qualified in a meet at that weight) and the 123 classes at regionals which is a big advantage! Hopefully everything will work out, the only other thing I can ask for right now is to stay HEALTHY!

Well, I did pretty good at the powerlifting meet. Surprisingly I wasnt even that nervous. I got first place in my weight class but only because I was the only contestant in the 132 weight class. But considering my weight and what the other girls in the meet did I did really well. After the total weight of my lifts were put on the Womens powerlifting website I realized I was 5th in my region! which is pretty darn good considering most of those girls have been doing this for years. So I think I might actually have a chance at Regionals, maybe even the State meet but who knows. I know I wont make it to either of those if I dont get well. Just when I thought I was over the flu I got some sort of stomach virus… ew. Anyways im still recovering from it and I tried lifting today. I got a full workout in just because Im stuborn like that but I know it wasnt even close to what I would be doing if I were healthy!

Well, Ive had the flu since Thursday and I’m feelin a lil bit better today. Hopefully I will feel ok in the morning and I will be able to go to school. After school tomorrow we will be trying on our suits and wraps for the powerlifting meet that will be on Thursday! I hope I dont get too weak from being sick cuz I want to do really good this Thursday. Softball tryouts are just around the corner too, so I want to stay as healthy as possible. Come Wednesday night and all day Thursday I’m gonna be really nervous for the powerlifting meet because it will be my first one ever!! But right now I just want to feel better.

We are gonna be leaving in about 4 hours to go visit three colleges and my brother. First we are goin to a college about 7 hours away to visit the campus and talk with the softball coach. Then, we are headin to the next college and spend the whole day touring the campus, listening in on classes, and meeting the coaches/players of the softball teams. The day after that the college is having a clinic so it will sort of be like a try out for me. Right after that im going to visit my brother at mississippi state and visit that campus as well. Then its vacation time! I get to spend like 4 days with my best friend and dad while i am in my old hometown. I got a crap load of homework though for my dual credit and AP classes! hopefully everything will work out and I will have a good time!!! Oh! and hopefully i can talk my lazy friend into workin out with me while im back home so i can stay on track with my training.

I got to skip school last friday to go play softball at an exposure camp, woo hoo! It was a lot of fun because it was my first time to do it. It was at the Ronald Mcdonald Tournament, and I am hoping I got seen by a lot of college coaches and recruiters there. I did pretty good, I hit well, and grounded all the balls I got fielded to me. I also did this sparq training thing where I got a free analysis of my agilities, I should get the results for that in a few days. Overall I think it went well, hopefully I will hear from some college coaches in a few days!

I gave blood today, so i didnt get to work out
. I gotta start doing more work outs if i want to achieve the goals i’ve set for myself. I’m having trouble staying motivated, whenever its time for me to go workout i think, no one else on the team is doing it… why do i need to? It’s hard to be the only person who thinks working out is a necessity for myself. I dont know how to explain it, guess ill just suck it up like usual. I also need some variety in my work out routines. If i dont start working harder on my squats i wont cut it during powerlifting.
