Take me back to college, the real world SUCKS!

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

I think the most frustrating thing about this time in my life is knowing just about EXACTLY what I need to do and how to do it in order to get the body I desire, but not having the resources to do so.

Since I was mugged (yes, I was mugged), I lost (among lots of other important valuables) my Student ID which was good until March of 2010 (It’s now October of 2009) and the university refuses to issue me a new one, calling it “fraudulent” to do so. Along with a city bus pass, this ID gave me free access to all university fitness centers. I now must pay $15 per yoga class and $10 per day pass at any citywide fitness facility. I cannot afford this.

I am now left to my resistance bands, running (which I can only do before sunset in order to not risk getting re-mugged and raped—often not feasible when I’m working until 6:30PM and sunset is 6:45PM), and workout DVDs to perform in either my own 4X4 apartment or my boyfriend’s mold-laden cave.

Not to mention that working three jobs is tiring in itself, though no physical activity is involved at all. And eating poorly goes right along with it when I haven’t eaten a vegetable in a week because I have no 24-hour refrigeration system–coolers only last so long.

I guess I’m living proof that eating crappy and working your life away and not getting enough sleep really takes its toll. How do real people do it? I HATE THE REAL WORLD!! But I trust that soon I will find a balance and pull my life back together. (Right?)
