Balance
I’m getting extremely frustrated.
This semester is the busiest of my life. I have a lot of stuff on my plate for the future and school and career are top priorities. That being said, I still want to have adequate time to work out of course!
I have three workout classes, all kickboxing-related–two together two days of the week, and one another two days out of the week. Two are mid-day and practically back-to-back with an hour break in-between, the first being a fusion class that combines full body weight training with kickboxing cardio. I figure that day it will suffice do those two hour-long classes. I’m aware that this is not the optimal workout scenario but I have limited choice in the matter.
The other two days of the week I have another hour-long kickboxing class in the evening.
Now, we’ve got lots of cardio and a tad bit of less-than-optimal weight training.
Where do the weights fit in?
Where does yoga fit in?
My body is simultaneously burning out and gaining weight–it’s so frustrating.
I’m going to either have to cut out weights entirely and just add in a bunch more body-weight type yoga in with the cardio or do weights after my hour-long evening kickboxing class. Any suggestions? Sorry for the rant!

You are young and Dont have kids. I would kill to have the free time you do. Map out your day and you will see how much actual time you have.

I would cut out a workout class and add the weight lifting. Building muscle will totally burn fat while you’re getting the cardio in as well. Shock your system! Change things up. That will help get over that plateau.

Unfortunately, the workout classes are mandatory because I am a Fitness minor.
