Fake profile invasion

July 31, 2009

This is a website where people of like interests come to support each other in their quest for physical and mental improvement…….. Right????  Why must we now have either a guy or girl, either way they’re pathetic, posting fake profiles…..ie Faith4U, Babypie4u. It’s just annoying to see people using some bs method like this to get their jollies. Am I alone in being disgusted by this? Are we turning into Myspace?

Heart attack

February 11, 2008

Talk about a wake up call. Both of my grandfathers died from massive heart attacks yet had no warning signs throughout their lives. This morning my brother called me when I was on the road and told me that my father had a heart attack at about 4am. Aside from a hernia, he has had no major health issues. He will be ok due to the fast response of 911 and the doctors immediately stinting an artery that was completely blocked.

Needless to say, the doctors told him he needs to lose about 50 pounds, he’s 6′2, probably 260. He’s not fat, but definately overweight. He also has to stop smoking so many cigars. What scares me, aside from hearing my father had a heart attack, is the fact that this runs in my family. I’m 6′4, 250, but I can definately feel the negative effects it has on my body. Even though I’m not fat, I don’t feel like I did when I was 215 and very lean. I am now motivated even more by my unfortunate future if I don’t heed the warning signs now. I was planning on losing weight before a cruise in 3 months. Now I am changing it to 215 by the end of the summer and staying there. I don’t want to ever have to have my sons get the same call about me. Luckily my father will live, how many fathers haven’t?

enough

June 29, 2007

Usually, this is nothing, but let’s keep the faking and flat out lying on Myspace, etc. This is a site for people genuinely trying to make positive changes with themselves, not dupe everyone. For Trish, trying to swear it’s her, and anyone else skeptical on my position, check out this link……….http://movies.about.com/od/monsterhouse/ig/monsterhousepremiere/monster07170612.htm

I guess it could be her doppelganger

TRISH MATHERS========Jamie Lynn Spears

June 29, 2007

It’s sad I know this……………..(I have nieces and nephews that age), but she is putting up pictures of Britney Spears’ younger sister. It usually wouldn’t bother me, but people are praising her and wishing her luck when she can’t even post herself. Most of those pictures are from "red carpet" events. Obvious because she’s not even looking at a camera, mainly looking away, as if at another camera :)

OK, my man card is now revoked for knowing all this :)

Enough

May 19, 2007

Ok, enough. I haven’t hit the gym seriously since my 2nd son was born on March 29th. That’s almost 2 months off now. There is no excuse for that long of a layoff. Thankfully, I didn’t gain any fat, but it’s like jumpstarting my body again now. Warmer weather, my family settled in, and more daylight should hopefully be a good catalyst to help me get back into the swing of things. New goal………drop 15 pounds by July 7th.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! To all of you

March 25, 2007

After testing one of my mini-goals this weekend and far surpassing my expectations, I had a chance to put everything in perspective. I’ve only been back on a diet and weight training for about 3 months now after a considerable time off and I’m happy to see changes. I’ve been everything……..fat, thin, muscular, average, but the key now is to keep improving constantly. There will be no end to my body transformation, like there shouldn’t for all of you.

I’m reminded of a saying I enjoy….."What you are is God’s gift to you; what you make of it is your gift to God". Whether you’re religious or not, this bodes true. Our bodies are something which we are given and how we use it is up to us. Our legacy to the world is how we impact other people, positive or negative. I for one want my children to be proud of their daddy and grow up living a healthy lifestyle so they can further influence generations to come.

I would like to say congratulations to each and every person on this website. Whether your goal is to compete, lose fat, gain muscle, or completely transform your body, you have taken the step towards bettering your body and hopefully your life in turn.  Let’s make future generations proud of us for what we have accomplished and hopefully set worthwhile examples for them. Kudos to all of you and keep up the good work!!

CHAMPIONS

March 24, 2007

I just got back from my all day Vball tournament. We finished in first place! I felt great, jumping and hitting like crazy, not getting shut down once. This was a test to see how my body has been reacting to working out again and I must say I passed with flying colors. I wound up being the oldest one on my team, but the only one not slowing down after 10 hours. Next year I expect to be even better.

Power surge

March 19, 2007

I’ve had an unusually high level of energy since I’ve started the 4 weeks of fat blasting. Maybe it’s because of the different supplements I’ve started to take or my body adjusting to the new feeling. Either way, it’s great. I can feel my arms hard as rocks at 18.5 and I love it. Being 6′4 it’s hard to look "big" but I’m trying. I’ll go heavy again after trying to shed some fat.

That’s what I needed

March 10, 2007

I just drove back to my hometown to play in the volleyball league I have a tournament with in 2 weeks. I hadn’t played since the beginning of January and damn do I feel good. I could jump much better without joint pain and the shoulder rotation was a snap with the spiking. I needed this accomplishment to give me more motivation to blast a little more fat off in the next two weeks before the tournament. Then the test is on if I can stand a 12 hour tournament.

Wow, a supplement that actually works like it says.

March 5, 2007

I just started taking Gakic and I must say that I am pleasantly shocked. Not only did I do the heaviest workout today since I got back into training…………….I hardly broke a sweat during it. I hope this wasn’t a first time fluke. I plan to keep up with this supplement and see how many personal bests I can hit in the next couple of months.
