Hard work

October 8, 2008

It has been a while since I last wrote, since then lots happened. On the 21th of September "my birthday :-) " I run a 12km marathon, and I gotta say it felt so good to cross that finish line, I was really proud of myself. A year ago I only did the 6km run, and when I passed through where I started last year, I said goodbye to my old self, and told to myself "I will never doubt my strength and how capable I am to achieve things that I want", since then my attitude towards life is changed, I have been able to say NO to things that  I believe they are no good or may keep me from achieving my goals in life. It feels so goooood.
For the past week I felt sick with a cold, and to top it up I got really home sick, that didn’t help at all. I have been living here in Australia for the past 3 years but I still miss home. I finally got over it this week, I guess it helps that I am back training, it keeps me focused.

My training this week has been really intense, and my diet is cleaner than ever. I can feel that my biceps are a little fuller weeeehoooo. I am holding back to take pictures because I don’t want to take them and get disappointed, because I know that I will beat myself up and I don’t want to do that. When my 12 weeks is up I definitely will.

I also received my tops that I purchased from Debi "BB friend", I am very excited to wear it around the gym when my abs are a little more defined.

Well, that’s it for my update on what has been going on in my life. Train hard for great results, and don’t forget consistency is the key.

Preparing my meals in advance

September 15, 2008

Tonight I prepared my meal for the next 3 or 4 days. I prepared some turkey burgers, some chicken cooked with parsley and onion, potato and broccoli salad. This will keep my fridge stocked for any time I need to eat. I am finding that it is not so hard to cook lean with some flavor, to eat clean it does not mean you have to eat completely blend, I have been using a lot of fresh herbs and spices and I am loving it.

Since I started making smart choices, I feel that I have control of my life and that I have a purpose, I certainly have been learning  about what makes me feel good and happy, and definitely when I look in the mirror I’m proud of myself.

Now I wake up everyday with a purpose and that’s definitely to look after myself.

6th week

September 10, 2008

This is my 6th week of training and eating clean as much as I can. I am half way through my 12 week mark to lower  body fat, from here on I will be intensifying my trainings and no cheat meals. I know it’s going to be a little hard without chocolate but I know it is worth it. :)

Training my upper body is the hardest as I am not strong at all, I am pushing through it and adding more weight as weeks are progressing. I am planning to upload some progress pictures next weekend as I will be on university break, so I will have more time.

Consistency always…

Will power

August 22, 2008

Last night I went out for dinner to celebrate a friends birthday, and oh boy… that was really hard to stick with my lean meal, but you know what, I kept thinking if I go crazy and eat what everyone else is eating it will keep from getting to my goal, so I manage to stay strong. Thanks to Deb one of my BB friends, I remember her saying the same thing in one of her videos.
Another great week of training and eating clean. The results are starting to show, its amazing… I already lost a lot of fat around my waist, so my skinny jeans are looking pretty good. Such a great reward for all the hard work and early mornings.

I am learning so much about myself, I never really thought that I had such a strong will power and that I could achieve what I am starting to achieve. Great lesson so far is that you have to believe in yourself and in your strengths.

Consistency is the key.

Another week begins…

August 17, 2008

Last week was another great week, at the moment I am not finding too hard to stay on track with my training and diet. This week I will change my diet a little bit , reduce carbs and increase protein intake on alternate days. I hope this will have some good results.

I have been making friends at the gym and that will be great for motivation!

Let another week begin….weeehoooo!
Consistency always.

Getting stronger…

August 9, 2008

Wow… what a great leg workout input today. I was able to do lunges sets of 20kg, before I wasn’t even able to do it with 10kg. Today I had my friend’s boyfriend to come to the gym to give me some tips on how to work my biceps, triceps and shoulders. Looking forwards to see them popping out soon.

Great legs input, very happy to see myself improving in my training. I must admit that without the proper diet I would not have the same energy. It is also great to have friends support.
Eyes on my goal…

Have a great week everyone.

On track….

August 9, 2008

This week I am really proud of myself, had a very good week of keeping my diet and exercise routine. The amazing thing is that I already can feel the results, I might not be able to see them just yet but definitely feel more energized and focus.

The diet part has been very challenging in a way that I always  have make a choice differently to my friends, but I am finding that I can be very strong when I have a goal that I want to achieve.

Consistency always…

Taking actions.
