New Direction…
So… Im fairly recently single, finally able to do anything I want, whenever I want, have a huge new outlook on fitness and how I want my body to look… I had my first airforce interview last friday, didnt quite get what I was after there, but im still going strong. trying to work out 6days a week, its a little bit hard with my job at the moment, but I finish there tomorrow. So ill have all the time in the world to workout which im so excited about!
I have never been much of a runner and I used to struggle to run for 5mins.. but I ate clean almost all week (2 little cheat snacks) and I could run for over 15 mins without even thinking of stopping(pretty good for me!). this has showed me even more then the physical positives to eating healthy it gave me a sense of achievement! It makes me want to keep going, why eat the crap if its going to slow me down? yeah some of it tastes good, but its not as good as that feeling i had when i finished my 30min cardio session knowing id run over half of it!
So my life is going in a totally new direction, im taking some of the biggest steps ive ever taken in my life and im so excited yet scared at the same time… But I have such a positive out look lately and i cant wait for my next run!

That’s awesome news (all the fitness stuff lol). I was the same way with running….I started running 3 miles 3-4 times a week from the start. Had to walk a bit the first 2 times and the 3rd time I decided if I was dying….I would at least jog slow….almost at a quick walking pace. If you at least don’t stop, the next time, you know that there’s no way you’re gonna make a step backwards! So once you make it all the way running or jogging, you’ll never stop!
It’s really a mental thing…if someone was chasing you with a knife threatening to cut you, I bet you could run a marathon.
Hope this helps

Hey! Be careful not to push your body too hard ‘too quick’ with running… you may end up with shin splints and that’s a bitch
Try intervals - run 5mins, slow jog a minute, run 5 mins repeat etc etc
I completed the ‘Couch to 5km’ program with no injuries and it was actually pretty fun! Check it out: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
