Getting back into lifting is harder than I thought. Day 3 lifting after 8 weeks off with 4 broken ribs…..Damn, did I let myself go in a mere 2 months.

Today was a ok workout. Ribs are still sore but I am powering through it. Shoulders and back today… will feel it tomorrow!

1st workout since 12/31! Recovering from 4 broken ribs really put me down. Bench was really tough. Unable to press as many reps as before. Gained about 20lbs just sitting around the past 7 weeks. Here I go again, at the starting line.

After the weekend off another heavy workout today. Lupus is in it place and while it is I am going all out. As the group "CHICAGO" sang, "Feelin stronger everyday"!

Heavy workout today… Best I have had in weeks….Arms, shoulders and chest. Heavy weights less reps. Max. 6 reps per set.

Back on Predisone, put on 12 lbs. however, Lupus symtoms appear to subsided enough for me to work out today. I continue as long as I can. I did at least lift 160lbs. in Bicep curl. 4 sets of 10…that is a new accomplishment for me.

After 1 month off I will try again! Lupus is affecting joints, kidneys and eyes. It appears that my weight lifting days may come to an end. Most disappointing, however time will tell!
