Elbow pain
I hope someone on here reads this and can help me.
For several weeks now i have been experiencing pain in my left elbow. it hurts anytime i try to lift with it. i haven’t been able to do any tricep work or benching. i have did a little shoulder work but I have since cut that out. I’m doing the guy thing and avoiding going to the doctor because it doesn’t seem like a severe injury. It’s not hampering my day to day life other than it is keeping me out of the gym. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? If you have please PM me and let me know. If a doc is needed then so be it but if there is something else i can do that would be better.
Well, I hope someone sees this and responds. I will look forward to hearing from you.

Hey excoach,
I was having the same problems only with pushing movements. What I did was to get a brace at Dicks that doesnt restrict movement and rub some Bio-freeze on before my workouts and that seems to do the trick. Give that a try and see if that helps. Good luck to you.

Not that I’m a doctor or anything, but bengay or any of the products that numb or alleviate the pain in an area are probably just going to mask the problem. It may get worse if you do this because it "feels okay" but you’re damaging it. Try some glucosomine(sp?) and condroiten(sp?) in a joint formula. There are several joint supplements out there from WalMart to BB.com. If it doesn’t get better I’d go see a doc.

I used a neoprene sleeve 24/7 when this first happened to me + triple strength Glucosimine Chondrotion with MSM. The supplement took about 5 weeks to kick in, now I only wear elbow sleeves when lifting elbow intensive lifts (bench, dips, skullcrushers) but take the pills everyday. I can get away with pretty much any lift I want, and only have the occasional twinge of pain I can live with now.
Good luck with it bro

I used to get those when doing gymnastics. You can try the following… boil some apple vinegar and then leave to cool off so that you can damp a towel or cloth and apply in the affected area (elbows).
Also, after recovering lower a bit the weight you are lifting and check your grip.
If pain persists go to your doctor.
