Work is just taking up all my time this week. I hit the gym 6 days last week.. first time in a long time. This week? nada! I’ve been getting home around 8 PM every night and running around with my head cut off all day. I had breakfast at 1030 this Am and then forgot I had not had any food at about 4PM. Is there anything I can do about it? Don’t think so. Could I go to the gym at 8pm? yes. Am I? hell no. I’m wiped and the cold/flu/something is running around. I’m trying to focus on staying healthy even with all the work.
I got my new workout from our awesome fitness guy. 1 day lower body, 1 day upper and 1 full body metabolic circuit day.

Yesterday was day 1 of Steve’s Extreme Fat Destruction Plan. I work a 4 on, 3 days off schedule right now. Day 1 will be my Day 1 off and then just keep rolling until Wednesday. This insures that I get all my workouts in (because the closer I get to the end of my week, the more likely I am to miss one).
I did 4 x giants set and then I did HIIT. For HIIT I did a 5 minute warm-up and then I did 3 rounds of 30 seconds sprint + 90 seconds recovery and a short cooldown. I was totally huffing it throughout the HIIT for some reason. I have been doing these sprints for the last couple of weeks but I felt like I hadn’t done anything in a while. I don’t know if its being exhausted from the giants sets that only took me under 15 minutes to do. Overall I like the short workout. It works perfectly for my schedule since I only have 1 hour at work to change, workout and shower.
I have hated protein powders forever, except if I have a blender to make a smoothie out of them. I just bought some though that has the consistency of juice and is cranberry/raspberry flavored. I’m going to go buy another flavor. I can drink these without a blender in a shaker cup (which I absolutely hated before).

Ok so I’m excited about a workout/meal plan. I purchased Steve Poynter’s Fat Destruction Plan (http://www.fitnesspoynters.com/) after reading numerous posters take up his services. Some would call me crazy. The workouts are definitely not something I have done before, they look challenging and I think I will be spent by the time i’m done.
The meal plan? I’ve cleaned up my diet quite a bit over the last few months. Finally reducing booze to once maybe twice a week and that’s it.. I’m aiming for once a week only and maybe once every two weeks.
i’m going to start the workouts Saturday I think. My days off are Sat-Mon and I’d be able to get 3 out of my 5 workouts out of the way + 2 on my days at work. I’m starting the meal plan tomorrow.

I bought myself a new pair of Sauconys and went for a run for the first time in about a year. I have been doing intervals 20 min max) 3-4 times a week for the last week and I think that helped make my first run a good one.
I did 25 minutes. 1 minute off, 5 on x 4 + 1 min. It was a good run and I like my new shoes.
