What does it take?

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

I’ve had people ask me throughout the last few years "what does it take to be that ripped?" or "what does it take to be in such good shape?"

Whatever way you wanna look at it…I have a very short answer for you…as disappointing as that is. And the answer is…….dedication and committment. Ofcourse, you dont just build muscle and speed and endurance by just the use of those 2 words. Those are the characteristics you must possess in order to succumb your self to the vigorous training day in and day out in order to be fit.

I say ’screw the bs of train 2 times a week with 20-30 mins cardio activity 3 times a week." I say…"get your butt to the gym or anywhere for that matter and GO HARD" Be 100% or get the F%$& out!!!That is what u need to ask yourself…"are you in 100% or are u just wasting your time?"

Being in 100% means you push urself to your limits, you hurt, u cant breathe….but you keep going…you dont have the pleasure of stopping when u want because that makes a loser…not a winner, and i dont mean any contest either.

Also, nutrition is KEY people. Stop eating junk food, processed food or sugar and chemical filled drinks. Lean protein, healthy fats, complex carbs plus veggies and fruit. Thats all folks. Make use of alot of h2o and teas and coffee…ofcourse without the sugars and creams.

I will recommend rosstraining.com for people who want to achieve the next level of athleticism rather than become the next 250 lb guy who looks like a block…with biceps bigger than most people’s heads. Size isnt everything…if anything..it will slow u down and make ur endurance go to shit.

And food wise, scope out the forums…this site has alot of great advice and articles. People wanting a real challange and possibly some amazing results…look into the Warrior Diet or Intermitted Fasting principles found in the forum.

Good luck to everyone and cheers!
