Wow… been awhile

March 10, 2009

I have been back from my Deployment from Djibouti, Africa now going on 2 months. My desire to get to the gym has been the same but my motivation has began to fail. Dealing with changing shifts every other day has me worn out. I get off work and seems like all i can do is sleep until I get back to work… I really want to keep into it and get myself into mass building again. I got pretty well cut when I got back, but the mass has started to fail. I don’t know what happened. I mean I was so dead set on keeping it going while I was here. I am headed to the gym tomorrow before class but I don’t want to feel like I am worn out otherwise it feels like a waste. Anyone have any advice or hell someone just to tell me to get my ass off and to the gym…

Christmas/New Years

December 25, 2008

Ok, so it has been a while since my last post… but it is currently Dec 26th here… We had what basically amounted to a normal day here in Djibouti with better food, which didn’t mean much for me as I was trying to keep to my diet. So what was Christmas for me? Just a big reminder of how I am 10,000 miles from anything remotely like home.

I have stayed very dedicated to the gym, and the results I feel are showing that. No progress pics yet ;) but they will come soon. I finally reached 200 lbs for the first time in my life, which for me was a huge goal. I’m benching more than before and feel I have had huge strength gains. Everyone gets "New Years Resolutions" and I could, but I’m just going to do things step by step. Making new goals as I reach them. As people have mentioned, we will soon have the January gym goers with their resolution in mind which most will forget about by Feb. Sad but true.

This all brings me to my goals for the new year, which mainly? Is to just keep the effort I have had while deployed all the way to when I get home and through out the rest of my life. I am hoping for 2009 to be my year to really move forward. With my career, my body/work outs, and my life in general. I am lookin to get back in shape for myself, to get to college and commission, and just experience things. Hoping for a good year for me and all of you. Enjoy the holidays!

Day 10

December 8, 2008

Another day, another lift. Today is a very long and slow day at work so I have been to the gym twice already due to pure boredom. I’m probably going again. I’m getting more motivated day by day. I think seeing the results are giving me more motivation. We shall see.

Day 8

December 6, 2008

So I haven’t been very diligent about posting but here is my week so far.

I have made it to the gym everyday this week which has been very good although 2 of the days I felt wasted. I was so drained it felt like I shouldn’t even be there, but I made it and did finish my workouts, although perhaps not as productive as it could have been. Did chest yesterday hard and it felt great, then today I was training a guy from my shop, just showing him some work outs really, and ended up basically doing chest again. It wasn’t my original plan but I’m hoping it won’t hurt me too much. Tomorrow I should get back on schedule doing shoulders/back. Being deployed has been great but in some ways it’s also killing me. I have so much time I end up at the gym, but I am not really motivated to be here when I am. I need to get that fire back and get the best out of my workouts.

Well Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully I can get this all back on track. Wish me luck!

Day 2- Much better!

December 1, 2008

Today was Chest/Biceps. Yesterday, I was to tired to get a good work out. Today, was definately better. I just started using Universal Animal Pump Stak. Seemed to work out great. A few more weeks and I’m gunna start my cut phase.

Starting this…Tired

November 30, 2008

This is the first day I decided to start posting in here. I worked legs today, my least favorite day by far. I don’t mind it while lifting but when trying to walk back, I realize what I did. Been sleeping like crap over here. It made my work out weak as hell today. I need to find a way to get the sleep I need to recover. Nothing really special today. Just feeling like it was a wasted day because I didn’t get a good work out in. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
