Clean eating
I’m cleaning out my fridge and my cupboards and getting rid of every single thing that isn’t considered "clean". I realize that achieving the body and energy that I sooo desire is 80% due to what I eat. I know the basics of clean eating but how about condiments such as Ketchup is that ok??? Or Brown sugar in my tea/coffee?? Any body want to share any info/tips or meal plans with me??? I will take any advice I can get…

Well I’ve revamped some of my habits. No ketchup on burgers (sugar). Wheat bread too. Mustard’s cool….no sugar or calories. No sugar in my tea (Stevia is the ticket, an ALL-NATURAL low-cal sweetener). I’ve trained myself to drink coffee black & no sweetener. Those little things make a big difference over the long haul…….My current thoughts on how I really want to approach food is in my Sept 15 blog. A real mindset change.
Nice avi. Very flattering dress.

The first 30 days of my transformation were spend doing just that…cleaning out my kitchen/fridge/cabinets/closets…hey you know there’s a back up stash of twirlers behind the shoe box, drawers at work . I then read everything I touched. If the first 4 ingredients had anything to do with sugar i.e. corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup I run from it! in fact I’m looking at a packet of fat free thousand island dressing…focus on the fat free and you will miss that the second ingredient right after water is yep high fructose corn syrup. Also, I no longer purchase anything that has a shelf life of more than three days fortunately I live across the street from two grocery stores so I’m typically shopping with a meal plan in mind rather than running wild up and down the aisles. You are on the right track. You will have great success.

What people consider "clean" varies from person to person. For me, clean eating means extremely plain foods. Oatmeal, boneless skinless breast, tons of veggies (broccoli, spinach, asparagus, etc), egg whites, 100% whole wheat bread with no HFCS, low-sodium turkey, fruits (apples, bananas, berries, etc), complex carbohydrates (sweet potatoes, brown rice, etc), natural peanut butter, etc.
For other people, it means just not eating pizza, sweets, regular soda, etc. It depends on what your goals are….
