It seems like i’ve been losing only minimal amounts of fat as of late. I’ve tried increasing cardio, decreasing cals, HIIT, Carb cycling… I still can’t seem to lose more than 0.2lbs/week. I used to be losing 1-1.2lbs/week! Should I take a break from cutting to reset my metabolism? If this keeps up I just might.

Alright, I’m at about the halfway mark for my goal. Today I weighed in at about 158.6 at 23.9% bodyfat. However, I had to up my cals a few weeks ago because i felt i was losing weight to quick for my size. I wanted to lose 2lbs/week, but even 1.5lbs a week felt like a bit much. Now I’m aiming for ~1lb/week. Since I still have ~18 lbs to lose, My new goal will be to reach 140lbs by May 11 2009. That’s right around finals time, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

I’m fat. I need to cut. Those are the basics.
I went on a WAY dirty bulk and gained WAY too much fat. On top of that, I haven’t really gone on a serious cut in over a year (about 15-16 months). Sure i cut for 2 weeks here and maybe 4 weeks there, but I haven’t gone on an extended cut because of school. Also my lifts sucked, so i wanted to get them to a decent weight before I actually started (possibly) losing strength. Well, now i’m kind of in the groove of things at school and my lifts are somewhat decent. So its time for a cut. I began at 177 at ~29% BF. My goal is ~12% bodyfat. Rough calculations show I will be about 140lbs when I reach that goal. Thats 37 (5 was water weight) lbs of fat to lose. At 2 lbs a week I will reach my goal in 16 weeks. Since I know there will be obstacles along the way, I won’t feel TOO terrible if it takes me an extra 2 weeks to reach this. I started cutting 09/29/08.
My goal is to lose 32 lbs of fat by the 02/01/08

So i’ve been feeling a bit under for the past few days, sneezing and feeling dizzy and such. To make matters worse, for the past couple of days i’ve been waking up with a sore throat. I can already tell i’m in for some sort of cold/virus.
I’m trying to sleep more, drink more water, and i even picked up some vitamin C at the grocery today.
I hope i don’t get too sick but if I do i plan to workout through it (if its just a headcold). I did this last time i got sick a few months ago and i actually felt better afterwards! I was totally expecting to get sicker, but i was just so determined not to miss a workout that i decided to go anyway. We live and we learn 
Yea, so, this post is mostly just an excuse to finally start up my bodyblog, sorry if anyone had to endure though it :p
