I have tried boards, bands, dumbells, barbells, everything I though imaginable, but i can’t break the 300 plateau on my bench. My decline is over 300, but the flat just won’t go over 300. It has been two weeks now, any one on here got any new ideas? Any info would be appreciated.

hey, after I tried the boards, a buddy came into the gym with a set of bands that go over the barbell and add 40lbs. at the bottom and 80lbs. at the top. These things are awesome, they make your muscles work harder at the top where the muscle is at it’s strongest. They are going to make a huge difference. Anyone needing to add a few pounds to their bench should really try these things out.

Hey people, just a little info I wanted to shout out to all those who might be stuck in their plateau right now. I was stuck at 275 on my bench for about a month. I decided to quit using the barbell alltogether and only use heavy dumbbells. Well, after about 3 weeks I decided to crawl back under that bar for another shot. 275 for 3 reps, the dumbbells really helped my strength. I recommend that if you are stuck, try going to them for awhile. Keep up the good work people.
