WTF

January 4, 2009

I can’t seem to lose any weight. I hit the gym at least 5-6 times a week for 2 hour sessions. I can see the results and changes in my muscles. The only problem I am having is the consistency in my diet. It’s not from a lack of trying though. I eat as clean as possible. But the food here doesn’t help matters much. Anybody who has served in the military can relate to the quality of food from the chow hall or if you’ve lived in any European country then you know what I mean.  The last few month I have been living on chicken breasts, boiled eggs, healthy choice meals (omfg!!! why is there an assload of sodium in these things), no alcohol or soda, tea (apple blossom grean tea to be exact), about a gallon a water a day, trail mix and nitrotech hardcore shakes.  Maybe its me but I think that I should have lost a pound or two not gained 2-3.  I guess i am going to have to do some more research and tweak my diet again.

26.5

December 19, 2008

Last week. I tested my bodyfat. I felt like I got an early Christmas gift … It read 26.5%. WTF!!!! I had to retest myself (three times to be exact) to make sure I was not seeing things. I dropped roughly 4.6 points from my last test of 31% on Nov 11th.

I think the thing that surprises me most is that I have not done any cardio since around the 15th of Nov.  I switched my routine back into a full weight lifting setup.  When I was riding the bike (for an hour or 30miles whatever came first) or running and doing the crosstrainer it didn’t seem like I was making any progess.  I am definatley going to stick with this routine for a long time. Hoping that my abs will someday be on par with Rice8787 or Supermaine.

Now on to my new goal of getting below 20%.

31%

November 12, 2008

I broke down and did it. I got my body fat percentage. Wow what a kick in the junk!!! I always thought I was somewhere in the range of 16-20% NOPE!!! Not even close. A whopping 31.1%. I was stunned. It took me a couple of minutes to even speak. Once I recovered from shock I politey thanked the lady and went home to sulk. This was a big wake up call. I am going to have to kick up the intensity alot more in the gym. Apparently I haven’t been doing enough. I am going to have to be more strict with my diet and push myself for that extra rep, mile or minute.  Time to represent for the R.F.K.’s.

R.F.K.

October 22, 2008

As a R.F.K. (recovering fat kid) I have never dieted. Let me rephrase that … I have never had the discipline to stick to one. Even as an adult I live on the policy "Eat whatever you want but only in small portions." After looking at some of the profiles on this site I think I need to change my policy.

I eat relatively healthy now. I hardly drink soda. No fast food or fried foods. Mostly chicken and beef. If I do have a burger, I eat it without the bun and a slice of cheese. I drink about a gallon of water a day. (Thank you Brita!)

I see all these diets in the fitness mags (… tried too many to remember.) Can anybody point me in the right direction or have any suggestions?

CelTech Hardcore

October 19, 2008

Today I started taking Musceltech’s CellTech Hardcore.   I was totally caught off guard with the effect I got after I finished my serving. I could feel every muscle fiber in my body tingle. The soreness from the last (two days of) workouts has virtually disappeared.  In the past I took the MuscleTech stack (NitroTech and Celltech). I never got this kind of feeling before even after the loading phase. I think I found my new favorite supplement.
