Ok…so they say it’s all mental and I say they’re right!!! I’m finally back in the game and I am focused. Today is day 4 for me. Day 1, 2, and most of day three consisited of rotations of grilled chicken breast, egg whites, steamed broccoli, avacados, nut butters, nuts, grapefruit and of course whey protein. I got to have my refeed meal the night of day 3 and loved every moment of it. Now we begin all over again with another refeed meal the night of day 3. I jumped on the scale this morning and discovered I had lost 3 of the 7 lbs I gained during my valentine weekend (and that’s even after last nights refeed meal)…YAY!!! So the closer I get to competition the plan is to start making those refeed meals farther and farther in between and then eventually nonexistent. I’d like to see my bodyfat down to about 11 to 15% and another 20 to 25 lbs taken off my 5′3 frame. 19 weeks left and counting. I’ve seeked some outside help from a former WTF competitor who promises to make me scream "Jesus"…and that’s exactly what I need… someone to kick my ass!!! I’m so ready!!!

So for valentine’s day my husband and I decided on a spur of the moment mini vacation to Red Rock along with the kids for three days. Mmmm nice gesture but I believe I set myself up for failure!!! During the three days I have to admit to putting everything in my mouth that came along my way. So now I am back at home and decided to jump on scale the moment I entered the door especially after noticing that my jeans were a bit more snug then usual!! Yes, I have managed to pack on 5 to 7lbs (the scale is flunctuating) additional pounds in three days…is that even possible? I have got to get on the ball here. I have entered my first competition this year in July…and so far not so good! I have 20 weeks to get in the best shape of my life…I’m not expecting to win but damn it I want to place and think I have a good chance. So now I am sitting back thinking was my weekend get away worth it… spending time with my family just enjoying one another was definately worth it!!! However, the additional pounds were not worth it!!! So I have had my fun and now it is time to get back to work… so it’s off to Sam’s club I go to load up on my staples of chicken breast, broccoli, eggs, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, avacadoes, and nuts…. and tommorrow…it’s back to work!!!

My progress has stalled. It has been about a good 2 to 3 months since I have seen any progress. I will say one thing though… I am so glad I did not gain my usual holiday 10 pounds. I’m serious when I say I’ve stalled…no gains and no losses!
So initially, my weightloss just started out about trying to get back what’s rightfully mine after giving birth to 5 children… my body!! However, since becoming a member of this site, I’m on a new mission now!! I have looked and followed the transformations of so many. Making_a_change… she is amazing and all her hard work and dedication shows. To me, she truly represents what this site is all about…building a perfect body from the ground up.There all also many others… too many to name.
So now I too have been bitten by the bug and my goal now not only includes being the best me I can be but I want to be on stage…I want to compete!!! When I made this decision, I told myself that I would spent 09 growing and building a better body. 2010 would be the year I ‘d make my first stage appearance. However, and I admit… for the past 3 months I have not trained as hard and my eating has been "sometimey". Sometimes I’m eating clean and sometimes I’m not. I’ve got to get it together! So as a way of getting myself back in the game, I have officially entered my first competition. The Women’s Trifitness competition in Las Vegas July 10 thru the 12th of this year. Half of me is excited and the other half of me has these moments where I ask myself what in the hell did I get myself into!
So now I am back in the gym and I am trying a new meal plan courtesy of scivation. My diet typically consist of chicken breast, lean fish, steamed green veggies, and healthy fats. I get a refeed meal of healthy carbohydrates every 18th meal. Day 1 and 2 were a nightmare. I was grouchy, cranky…. you name it that was me! Today however was much better and I have this burst of new found energy. I get my refeed meal later this morning. You would not believe how excited I am… oatmeal will have never tasted so good!!!
2/11 145lbs 27.7% bodyfat (day 2 of period and I feel the bloat!!)

I RECENTLY READ AN ARTICLE THAT STATED EVERYONE SHOULD BE USING SOME FORM OF NATURAL TESTOSTERONE WHEN TRYING TO LOSE FAT AND BUILD LEAN MUSCLE AND THAT WOMEN CAN DEFINATELY BENEFIT. I WAS THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING VITRIX BY NUTREX, WHICH I HEARD IS THE BEST OUT THERE…DOES ANYONE KNOW MORE ABOUT WOMEN TAKING A NATURAL TESTOSTERONE? I DEFINATELY DON’T WANT TO COME OUT OF THIS WITH A FULL MUSTACHE, BEARD AND HAIR ON MY CHEST!!!
