Starting Today!
September 7, 2009I am meeting with my new trainer in a few hours. I think this will finally give me the extra push I needed. I have realized lately that I have somewhat of an impulse control problem that permeates a lot of my life, exercise included. In the past, if I haven’t felt like working out, I didn’t. If I wanted to eat junk, I did. I have been working hard the past week to remedy that, though I know it will take time to get my brain used to a LOT more self-control in this area.
My Goals:
- I am currently at 216 lb. and about 15% body fat. My goal by the end of 2009 is to be below 10%. Ultimately, I want to be below 8%, and be between 215-225 lb.
- My treadmill test in my assessment last week was pitiful. I hit the 85% of maximum heart rate in about 5 minutes. Uggg. My goal is to be able to go for 30 minutes of whatever I’m doing cardio-wise, including playing basketball, on the treadmill, rowing, etc. without fatiguing to the point that I have to stop.
- I want to develop a lot more self-control in all areas of my life. I believe that this will help. I’m not sure how to measure that one though…
