Yesterday I donated blood. It was my first time too.
It wasn’t painfully and it takes only less than 20 min.
So before donation made they do some test too see if you are a candidate.
The thing that suprised me is my blood pressure test. I am 22 years old going 23 in June. My blood pressure was 185 mHg which is kinda odd as the doctor who conducted it asked me if I was stressful. I once remeber my blood pressure was 141 long time ago. probably the pressure at the end of the semester. By the way I am -O, if anyone here is a vampire
After that see the blood pressure, wieght, blood type…etc. You lay down on the bed. The nurse will try to find for a good big vein to insert the needle. Take a couple of sample then you start to donate.
I don’t know how much blood I donated but I think it was only one bag and it wasn’t full. When the blood donation finished I though they didn’t take enough blood.
ohhh forgot blood donation tip. Don’t eat before the test by hour and eat a good breakfast or lunch depends what time you want to donate your blood but not close to the donatation. My mistake that I eaten straight before donating my blood which made me like I was going to vomit. And after finishing with the it, rest abit and dont straight away move for action.
Dont worry, it not painful if you got a good nurse to insert the needle and it doesnt take much time.
