About 2 weeks

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

I passed about 2 weeks of training and still hanging one strong.

There is someday where the where I not intense or have fire inside me , but I alway keep my head clear to reach my goal.

Addition to the other workout there is a new work out but I dont know it by heart, sorry :D , it not like is secret or anything.

Now I going good on my diet for about 2 day in a row , you could laugh at this but a journey of 100,000 miles starts with a step so It abit improvement. After only doing it for two day I lost about 1 Kg which is kinda amazing.

The hardest part of the training is to keep going from day to day and if you dont have a clear goal you wont know what you will be doing in the gym.

The most exciting sport week :D

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

This week there is many things happen in sport. There is many disappointment as well as excitement that no one seemed to expect it.

Start off with the tennis with the Madrid Open. Unranked Argentinean David Nablandian made an astonishing finish. Beating 6′7 guy at the early stages, Rafael Nadal (ranked number 2 by ATP) at quarter finals, Novak Djokovic ( ranked number 3) at semi-final and Roger Federer ( ranked number 1 by ATP) at the final of Madrid Open. His championship journey is marvelous to say a win is well earned and remembered.

Then French 2007 Rugby World Cup. The favorites New Zealand lost in front of the host France which made France the favorites. But then in the semi-finals France lost in front of England and expect to be the 3rd but ended up losing to Argentina to go 4th. As for England an unexpected lost against South Africa losing there hopes to life the world cup twice in a row. The biggest stunner of the show was Argentina more than South Africa for beating the host and favorites to win for the 3rd place.

Last but not least, the magnificent story about the F1 rookie who broke all boundaries. Lewis Hamilton was going doing so well leading the standing before the Brazilian GP. Lewis Hamilton was the first rookie to be in the top 3 position and doing it more than once. But as his McLarn had problems with FIA on charges of spying against arch rivalries Ferreira, couple of driving reckless allegation, suffering relationship team mate Fernando Alonso of Spain and changing tire more than once in his last race didn’t seem to stop the British rookie to be the first ever rookie driver to win F1 championship. But one Ferreira’s driver Kimi Räikkönen came strong after he was behind him by 7 points and behind Alonso Fernando 4 points winning his first ever F1 championship. Lewis Hamilton finished 6th and Alonso finished 3rd just one point behind Kimi Räikkönen for Hamilton to make History and Alonso to have three titles in a row.

This week was sure one of the most exciting week of sport action. Although I didn’t watch any ofhese things fully just see the results makes you blood boil: D

Future sporting bout is:

Al-Wahda vs Asfahan ( football) - AFC championship 2nd leg

Joe Calzaghe vs Mikkle Kessler

Ricky Hatton vs Floyd Mayweather

Steroids and professional sports

Steroids and professional sports

It is sad to say that many athletes are using steroids. From Mariah Jones, female sprinter, to the boxer Shane Mosley and UFC fight Sean Sherk. This is just the recent ones that are still on my mind. But more and more of them are admitting or getting caught and I not surprised by it.

I am writing this is because the reputation of Tour de France has had over steroids. 7-time Tour de France champion, Lance Armstrong, was rumoured that he was taking steroids in 1999 but turned out to be false, but when he retired all the top people who where favourites on Lance Armstrong’s yellow jersey (it wore by the winner of Tour de France), Jan Ullrich and Ivan Basso, where banned from there time one day prior to race. The winner of Tour de France, American Floyd Landis was also found guilty of taking steroids. And not only those mentioned champions where taking it also the contenders where taking it. This put the cycling scene a bad reputation of steroid that could haunt them for quit awhile.

Do professional athletes really know what they are using and what they are taking?

Well I guess there is so much money involve in professional sport as well as the rivalry is ferocious as ever. Tour de France cyclist is not the only people who people should be looking at but also many other sport there isn’t the regular doping check up. One case was involving Italian’s football giants Juventus with anabolic steroid, which the closed the case in court and Mariah Jones, most successful female sprinter, is also involve. For the days to come there will be more professional athletes will be caught, I wont be surprised any name given because I know there is so much to money to won that is to tempting not to have advantage over others or maybe they want to be same as others because many are using steroids too?

Started my journey

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

This is my first blog. Sorry if I have some spelling and grammer mistakes.

Today I did three thing when in my training. I started with abit of a 5 min warm-up and then lifted weight.

Here is my weight routine which will be a day/day-off all in sets of 3, it 8 exercised exlucding the abs and sometime I may add forearm training or neck training

-Bench Press

- Lats ( back exercise)

- Leg Curls

- Dumbell Shrugs

- Dumbell Press

- Cable Tricep Extension

- Leg Press

- Barbell Bicep curl

After finishing with my weight training, my trainer invited me to 1/2 aerobics so I did. I was tough abit but I was doing 100%.  We started cycling then when to special machines at the end it was stomach exercises.

After aerobic I did 500m swimming freestyle and then went for a jacuzzi. It helps my muscle to recover as well as for me to relax.

What do you guys thing for my first day of training. I thinking also to take tennis classess which I never went as well as a friend of mine have invited me into a fencing club.
