Cleared to go back to work, with no restrictions.  Toe hurts to bend, but I can do the elliptical, and  jog.   First day back in the gym will be Wednesday.  It is going to hurt, but feel so good!

great start

August 6, 2007

Having a great start to the workouts.  Pulled a retard move this week.  Had two left feet walking down the stairs, used my left big toe to stop my fall.  Broke the toe right under the toe nail and the bone was sticking out.  OUCH!.  four stitches and they had to remove the toe nail.  No cardio for 6 weeks now.

What a week

Had a very good first week in the gym.  Did not get as much cardio in as I wanted, but all in all it was good.  Did not go real heavy on the weights, just enough to get sore.  Finished my last day with squats and shoulders.  The next day my second son was born.  So now I will Work out at home, Will mostly be cardio I think.

Wow!

Was bouncing around the blog’s for little bit.  Don’t really do so very much, lack of time mostly.  See a lot of people talking about steroids.  All I can say is don’t do it!  If you are not in competing Why would you want to ruin you body for a fast pump.  It will leave as soon as you stop taking that crap.  Seen too many people use it to make their bench jump.  People who were struggling like me with breaking the 300 mark.  They take a risk by buying the stuff and then they take it.  I watch them in a few short weeks blow up in body and attitude.  They broke the 300 wall aright and looked like a 14 year old hormone machine in the face.  But as soon as they stopped taking the crap I watch lose what they have gained, although they kept their size, they were not benching what they were when on the roids.  Now I take supplements and  some hormone  booster from time to time but I will not  end up like a pro wrestler and rage out of control just for the sake of  size and strength.  I do this for my health and my job.  If I was a desk jockey I would be content with a beer belly and pencil arms.  But I work in a prison, I need to back up what I say(and I do).  All body make-ups are different, some people are freaks of nature and size come naturally, other like me can have the same strength but do not have the size or definition. so if you want to have nuts the size of peas and a  face only a mother can love go ahead and use them.  Me I rather like the size of my loins.

3rd day

July 22, 2007

Diet  going so so, staying close to it but not perfect.  Had a good workout with the tri’s.  did close grip, skull crushers, cable pull downs, and EZ curl bar.  Had good reps, weight not were I wanted it to be, had to drop from what I am used too. Have to correct my form on close grip bench, having to much shoulder pain in right shoulder.  next two days will be rest from weights will do cardio though.

2nd Day

July 20, 2007

Got up about 2:30pm, not getting enough sleep.  did 20 min on elliptical machine that kick my butt.

meal 1:  bottle of water, protein smoothie, banana.

protein smoothie was ON tropical punch with 3 strawberries, 3 Ice cubes, 8 0z of milk. Magic Bullets are awesome.

7 pm had 95% ground beef patties with cheese no buns, bottle of water.

12pm had a salad with tuna fish with a bottle of white tea.

Did not get to workout until 2 am. messed with schedule and was tired by the time down there.  Did Back and Bi’s, got good reps in but was tired felt like I had no energy.

had a protein bar later and water. went to bed at 9:30 am

First Day Back in Gym

July 20, 2007

First day back in Gym and felt good.  Did shoulders and traps, Supersets on both. Stayed pretty close on diet, it is hard to maintain a good interval between meals.

1st set.

Dumbbell shrugs- 60lbs   3 sets of 8.  last rep held 15 seconds good squeeze.

barbell shrugs- 135  3 sets of 8. last rep held 15 second good squeeze.

Dumbbell shrugs 70lbs  3 sets of 8.

this was done as a superset with no rest between stations and 1 minute at end.

next I did 45lbs plate upright rows for 3 sets of 8

front raises with 10lbs plates for 3 sets of 8

side lateral raises with 10 lbs plates for 3 sets of 8

military press with bare barbell 45lbs.  3 sets of 8 in front and 3 sets of 8 in back

did 192 reps in total in less the 25 min. All my workouts or supersets except for bench day.

it is starting

I am back after a little wait.  Bought a new home and had to move in.  Had no time to worry about this till now.  It is time to get back on track.  starting this week I will post my workout schedule and my meal plans. Right now my goal is to lose weight that I have gained.  So easy to gain unwanted pounds and so hard to lose them.  Working midnights at my work right now,  hard to keep a good schedule with you sleep messed up.
