Random thoughts:
At the conclusion of the Masters Nationals, I admit that I found the BB/FBB results more appealing than that of figure. Those were the comparisons I was looking at; those were the pics I was bringing up on MD. Does that, combined with my avatar make me think a switch is definitely coming? Some days. Then other days I think if it’s so hard for my body to drop fat for Figure, what makes me think I can get to 5-6%?
I need to start booking makeup/tan stuff for Cleveland and NY.

I’m still gimpy, cardio still sucks, it’s still hot and humid, my ass is still huge, I still don’t understand how to pose my abs. I need an instructional manual on ab flexing while standing upright.

After training, we went and picked up a knee sleeve like the one pictures and I’m using that to compress my calve. It feels a bit better supported, and I iced it at night. We also went to the fish market to grab some scallops and tuna steaks.

I thought I could try to do sprints on the treadmill for my HIIT. I though wrong. After 2 cycles, my achilles/calve thing went very wrong and the pain radiated to my hammy. I hobbled down the stairs and did 10 cycles of kettlebell style DB swings.

Yes, I did have a little cheat. I know I was allowed to, but I still feel guilty.

Holy leg soreness! I ended up having a pretty much hamstring only leg training day since my quads were just that sore from the Tabata training. Actually, they were so sore that I could only do 2 sets on prone curls because I couldn’t bear to lay on them.

I had powder instead of fish for my last meal since it was really late and I was exhausted! We did some grocery shopping after the gym - lots of 96/4 ground beef for Dan and the chocolate cream pie diet soda was in stock again.
6 weeks left! Can it be done?

Lucky for me, a member of the forums PM’d me with a great link to doing a stationary form of HIIT referred to as the Tabata method. It was tough! How the plan was written was to do 20 seconds of quick reps shown in the pics below followed by 10 seconds of rest, performed 8 times which would have taken 4 minutes. I changed it to 30 seconds of both movement and rest, performed 12 times, so it was a 12 minute ordeal. Way tougher than you think it is! Pretty silly looking as well, but extremely effective.

I am almost out of Protein Component. For those of you who have never tried this blend, go online and get some today since it’s been discontinued, despite my pleading. www.froogle.com is your friend.

Life sucks. I’m thinking of that song from childhood, about how the foot bone’s connected to the leg bone, the leg bone’s connected to the hip bone, etc. Now my knee is swollen from compensating for my achilles by adjusting my gait. *breathes, counts to ten* I’m going to get through this.
