Ok, enough with the kitten vids already. 

Congrats to my friend Jeanette Rivera for winning her class at the NPC Xcalibur last night.  I’m so proud of her!

For those of you who compete, make damn sure you don’t have any profanity in your posing music. Two deserving competitors were denied their overall wins due to this and the default winners were nowhere near the caliber of those who should’ve gotten the win.

Mindless Meals had a booth and it was nice to have good food at a show instead of just protein bar samples. Meals 4 and 5 were from them and Meal 6 was at Houlihan’s before driving back to NY.

I did some grocery shopping after training. Purchases included chicken breast (regular and ground), bison steaks, ground turkey breast, 96% lean ground beef, salmon, asparagus, pickles and….. Faygo diet chocolate cream pie soda! Damn!!!

Yes, I have been using a lot of Juliana Malacarne pics lately.  I am in awe of her physique.

I get really frustrated with my back sometimes. Ever wonder why my leg pressing movements have such great numbers but my squats don’t? Any spinal compression from above basically sucks for me. Though using a belt has improved my comfort when squatting and deadlifting, DLs remain much easier since the weight is not above me. I want a new spine for my birthday, please.

Average workout, beautiful day. I walked to the gym since it was so nice. This gives me the added benefit of both getting in a little LI cardio and not having to move my car. Only one set of Pec Dec was done because it didn’t feel good on my right shoulder.
