Random thoughts:
What a random evening. I bumped into a coworker of mine from when I lived in Austin who’s now living here in NYC, fairly close to me, when I was walking to the subway to go home. It really is a small world.
If it weren’t already so late, I might consider doing the morning training thing again. I used to train early and it is pleasant. I know I need my rest, though, so it will be only morning cardio tomorrow.
My goodness, 25 days is nothing. I feel I’m ready from the front, but not from behind. Even if I’m not spot on for the Gold’s, hopefully I’ll be able to correct it in time for the Eastern’s. Uncertainty make me uneasy.

Today’s schedule was very odd. Since I missed training last night due to illness and I knew I couldn’t train tonight as I had a Prolab demo after work in the city, I decided that a morning workout was in order. I set my alarm for 3:30am, got up to take supps and eat, then went back to sleep for a hour before walking to the gym for my training session when it opened. The empty gym was quite nice.

How did that happen?
Felt like absolute crap and went home from work early. Did AM cardio and 1 mile walk in the afternoon, then got home around 5ish. Slept till 3am with some phone and text interruptions. There is a phrase about burning a candle at both ends; I feel like that.

4 weeks out now. I’ve been really busy! Saturday was quads and abs, Sunday was off. My hams were still sore on Saturday and it took a bit of a toll on my lifts. There’s been lots of walking, as usual!

I’m thrilled that this work week has finally passed; I was doubting that it would even end at one point. The weather is still very mild for this time of year during the day though, and that makes it a bit easier to cope.
As usual, I’ll be messing with my split again. Tomorrow’s scheduled off day will include training since taking off Sunday.

My hams are sooooooooore.
I really miss nuts already. But it is the 27th, and the next time that happens I’ll be half naked on stage, which helps alleviate the cravings. I feel like I was tested today; in our kitchen at work, there are some ‘gumball machines’ that contain candy. One of them has a particular favorite - chocolate covered almonds - and there were two sitting in the well where someone had accidentally left them after scooping up the quarter’s worth. I couldn’t just look at them while heating my chicken, so I threw them away. I hate throwing away food, especially such good stuff.

I am literally doing cardio morning, noon and night now. In fact, that’s how I will be listing it from here on out. Yuck. My energy and strength are still decent within the confines of the gym, but my concentration is just not there at the office. The US really needs to institute Siesta on my behalf.

Hello, gridlock. The UN is in session and the filming of the Sex and the City movie has begun, so the streets of midtown Manhattan are an insane maze. Apparently they don’t send the NYPD to crossing guard school and they only seem to be making matters worse, really.
I have changed my midday walking route since raising its length, and walking by Central Park is pretty nice once I get past the tourists.
I got my one piece today - it is more beautiful than I’d hoped! Lidia Conti is excellent - highly recommended!!
