Yet another long, tedious work day. One of these days I swear I’m going to drop the office job and pursue some sort of full time employment in the fitness/supplement/nutrition/training world. The concept of doing something that I enjoy as a career is foreign and enticing.
I continue to feel pretty damn good, but just a tad sore.
You may notice the heavy training on rear delts and relatively little work on medial and front delts. As Matt has pointed out to me on more than one occasion, if I’m going to bring a package that displays the appearance of some more leg size, I have to be cautious of adding more width. My poor hamstring development is another reason that I refrain from using weighted calve movements; one must find ways to present symmetry, even if it isn’t really there.

Random thoughts:
I really like training with my new mp3 player. It also has a pedometer in it and a sensor that you can set to play music that coincides with your gait while walking or running, as well as an FM radio.
Smokey Robinson is good for slow cardio.
I have now gone ten days without a carb; four more ’till pasta!

I had a long day at work and a miserable headache, but somehow after my second warmup set I was back in it. Although I don’t like to take painkillers unless it’s bedtime for injury since I think you should feel any pain to avoid worsening it while training, it was necessary to throw back a few Advil with a Caffeine pill before hitting the gym. I have gotten migraines since I was a child, and this is one of the few ways to lessen the pain. I’m considering accupuncture in the future.

It was a chilly and miserable day, similar to my disposition.
I hate, hate, hate rain! No walk for me during lunch today. It’s just as well, as these pro/veg only days are a bit rough. I couldn’t fall asleep on the subway on the way home from work, but I just wanted to lay down. I took a nice nap after Meal 4, and I’m going back to bed after this. Rest is niiiiiiiiice.

Random thoughts:
I don’t want to go to work tomorrow. The fact that it’s supposed to rain isn’t helping. It will also be an off day, with protein and veggies only. Oh joy.
I’m still pissed about that parking ticket.
The Mets took three of four games from the Dodgers.
I went back to BJ’s today in hopes of getting more $1.45/lb chicken. No such luck; it was now $2.79, which is good, but not amazing.
One more week until the first cheat meal!

Training-wise, I had a good one. You may notice that I don’t do much bicep work. My bi’s and calves are my genetic strengths, so I don’t work them heavily since they could easily become too dominant and serve as a hinderance to my symmetry.

Random thoughts:
Sometimes I swear I just can’t catch a break. I got a parking ticket for $115 even though I paid the meter. You see in midtown, the meters are special and you can only park on the street if you have commercial plates. No joke - you simply cannot find a spot for regular vehicles.
My weight was down this morning, but now I have TOM so that might have been some short-lived joy.
I really need an mp3 player. The gym music was horrid this morning. Friday night music is good. Golden oldies on Saturday morning just don’t get me going somehow.
I’m going to try to make it to the beach tomorrow. My family is having a BBQ, but I’m pretty antisocial with them when I diet because they aren’t terribly supportive.

I had a rough night. I tossed and turned forever and spent more time looking at my alarm clock than actually sleeping. By the time I realized I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep without help, it was too late to take anything, as I had to get up early so that I could train before heading into Manhattan for a VS demo. All things considered, my workout was not as bad as it could have been. I did have to cut the cardio short and postpone abs due to the time restraint. I was on my feet for most of the day, though, which is vastly different than my typical workweek day; Monday through Friday I am basically chained to my desk.

Random thoughts:
The air quality way much better today. It was less humid and there was a little breeze, so maybe we’ll live after all.
I woke up to catnip everywhere this morning. The little bastards found the bag and had a good ol’ time while I was asleep.
I have to train in the morning since I have a demo to do tomorrow and the gym will be closed by the time I get home. I don’t know why my gym closes so early on the weekends.
I need a massage.
