Fyi: I am no longer doing any weighted calve work. My calves are dominant, and once i drop the fat from my hams, they may be overpowing by comparison. I will only be training calves once a week, bodyweight only.

No carb days are simple. I still have tone of energy since I can supply energy to a small village with the fat in my ass. These days will probably be harder when I get leaner. I don’t have cravings on no carb days, either. I find low carb days harder - to get a taste carbs and not a filling amount make me want more.

Tonight was my first evening workout. I’m not used to having a bunch of people in the gym, but I dealt with it. I had a loose plan in my mind of the order I wanted to train and adjusted it according to available equipment. I am still in love with my qym and have since forgiven it for closing yesterday.

I felt really strong, particularly on the A-Trainer Fly’s. And the muscle looked great in the mirror if I must say so myself.
I had noticed in the past that with beta-alanine supplementation I had a pretty decent tingle, which is referred to as parasthesia. The location of this pins and needles type sensation varies from time to time and is similar to when your foot falls asleep. It has recently come to my attention that if you have in some way have incurred any damage to your skin, you will feel this tingle a lot stronger in that area and it’s not necessarily very pleasant. I had a cactus fall on me (don’t ask) two days ago and my arm got an almost painful tingle. Well, I had my “business” waxed this afternoon, and lets just say that it takes a lot of concentration to bench press when there’s a STRONG tingle in the most private of places. You’ve been warned!

Since the gym is closed for Christmas (which I think is ridiculous) I just did some DB work at home. I’m glad it’s arm day, because the DBs we have would serve little purpose for working a bigger muscle group then arms or delts.

Although I definitely stimulated the muscles and felt the burn, there is something less than satisfying about training at home.
Tomorrow will be the first day of my new schedule - evening training! Since I am cutting and using higher rep workouts, the actual training time has expanded. By switching to nights again, I’ll be able to do what I need to without watching the clock or worrying about being late for work. I will also be able to incorporate cardio post workout.

Since I have 2 delt days and it would be fairly useless to do low reps while cutting, I have decided to use one delt day for supersets working from back to front, and the other day for regular sets working front to back. Saturdays will be the former.

I am very pleased with the rather sudden progress of my delts. I wish I’d started training them this way earlier. Well, you live and learn.
I had the pleasure of chatting with Grace Rivera after my workout today. She is an NPC figure competitor and personal trainer at my new gym. Grace was easy o talk to and offered some great insight into the world in which I wish to delve. I anticipate picking her brain as often as possible in the months to come. For those of you attending the Arnold Classic this year, look for Grace to kick some ass!

Tomorrow should be a big pain in the ass. It’s a no carb day and I get to spend a large portion of it with my family, who are not exactly supportive of my participation in this sport. My cousin’s husband actually had the audacity to ask if I was trying to be a man. At that time I weighed whopping 121 lbs. :rolleyes: I am perturbed by the concept of muscularity being synonymous with masculinity, particularly by men who lack both.

When looking back on the weights used for this workout, they don’t look very impressive. Somehow, however, I can honestly day that this was one of the best workouts of my life. By the last superset I was visibly shaking and living in a third floor walkup tends to make things interesting. I am curious to see what kind of misery is in store for tomorrow.

Although I didn’t actually puke, I did “vurp” and it was rather disgusting. It was also pink from the Xtend. Just thought I’d share my special moments with you.
I also bought my shoes for my figure competition today. I thought it would be a good idea to practice my posing in the shoes I’ll actually be wearing. I must say, six inch clear stilettos really do give the appearance of a longer leg. I think I look at least 5′2 now.
