crossroads
so at the moment, i really don’t know what I’m aiming for in terms of goals anymore. For awhile I was training to compete in lifting competitions, then i figured I’d try to add some more size, then try to cut up a bit. I’ve gotten comments from people saying i could probably do okay competing, but I don’t know if I’m quite at that level yet. Any suggestions?

You don’t always need a big goal to work towards. Have you tried just taking awhile to lift weights for the joy of it? Maybe set some small goals in terms of strenth or rep increases, body measurements, or body fat loss. Try to focus on making that mind-body connection during your workouts. Try some workouts or cardio you’ve never done before. This approach might help you realize what it is you really want in the long term. In the meantime, just enjoy the gift of your body and how great your workouts make you feel.

I think you could definitly be competitive at the local level. You may not win, but so what? It would give you something to improve upon.
But if that doesn’t sound fun don’t do it. Coleyspoint has a point, bodybuilding can be fun and fullfilling without competion with others just with improving on your old self.
You should just ask yourself if you feel motivated right now or do you need a little something to shoot towards to improve your workouts. Either way good luck, I’m sure you’ll be successful which ever way you choose.
