Hurt - Feeling down……
Talk about feeling worthless and depressed. I am on day #5 of not lifting and I feel like a !@#$bag. I have done cardio not allot I admit this week. I have eaten good but no iron in hand is depressing.
I love the feel of the iron, I love the anticipation of the workout, I love getting excited knowing today I will put up more weight or more reps than last time. Knowing I am growing stronger bigger and my goals are getting closer with each rep I squeeze out.
I cannot take it any longer. I hope nothing is seriously wrong with my shoulder. I will lift again on Monday. I will test it out with some light workouts for a week. I will let it have time to heal.
How do people get up and get excited to do cardio and abs. I have been stuck with that as my only workout all week. I have even tried to make it exciting doing cardio in body armor. It is just not the same.
Well enough crying two more days and I will give it a shot. Until then I will just show some false motivation while running. Squeeze out the abs and call it a day.

LOL. We all go through those bouts where get stuck thinking about what we cannot do and get all bummed out! I totally know what you mean! What I do when I find myself at the sort of phase, I have to really concentrate to work myself out of there. I can choose to be all depressed by all the negatives out there, or I can be grateful for the positives. Doing cardio and abs is a GREAT place to be right now. The weights will be waiting for you when your shoulder recovers! In the meantime, you can enjoy building the strength in your core (the powerhouse!), and getting your heart into rocking cardiovascular shape! You can do it!!

Don’t think about it as days off bro, think about it as "Grow Days" … days where your body is burning energy adapting to what you have done in previous workouts. It may not feel like the energy you burn pushing weight, but it is energy none the less being well spent. Focus on the diet - it is just as much a part of what you are doing as the weight workouts - and if the upper body is needing to recuperate for what ever reason, work on legs and calves. I have heard it said that heavy leg presses and squats do just as much for your upper body as dumb bell curls and shoulder presses because they amp up the testosterone production. Keep at it!
