Totally awesome and shameless CW moment

Last night I got the biggest rush!!!  I took a shower before bedtime, and thought "Hmmm… I haven’t tried on those short overalls in awhile… "  Dave bought these short overalls for me last summer.  He says those with no top on under them are just soooo sexy… and I like overalls anyway, and if it turns him on, well…  ANYWAY, they are a large, and they were just a little too snug.  And when I saw how much he paid for them, I didn’t want to keep them.  But he said can you get down to fit into them? I said yes.  So he says keep them, I was going for a certain look, and besides, I never spend alot of money on you.  So I’ve had them hanging out in my room for a year now, as a reminder.

SO ANYWAY!  I tried them on last night, walked out to the living room where he was watching the Olympics, and said "How do they look?"  He gets this HUGE grin on his adorable face and says "OH YEAH!!!"  I laughed and said "So they look better than they did before?"  He says "OH, THEY LOOK ALOT BETTER!!!"  and then he grabs me and pulls me down on the couch with him!!

YAY!!!!!   ;)   LOL!!!!

Small cheat meal

Well, last night I had a small cheat meal.  I think it was small.  We went out for Tex Mex and I had chicken veggie quesadillas, made with chicken breast and lite cheese (so they say) on whole wheat tortillas.  The cheat part was the chips and salsa  ;)   I love chips and salsa…

Guess I need to drink extra water today!!

The last few days have been VERY busy - Jam Packed!  Sunday I think I was home for a total of 1 hour… anyway, I ran out of egg beaters yesterday, and I knew I had to get to the store, but I forgot that I was out of the eggs.  I had my list, but I decided to postpone the trip until today.

Then this morning I go to make my breakfast and…  ack! no eggbeaters!  So I had a can of salmon on a whole wheat tortilla.  I know lots of you eat fish for breakfast, but I never have.  It was kinda funny to me!  :D  lol.

that was it, just thought it was a funny breakfast  :D

August 3 – August 9 2008

 

Sunday – diet excellent (and on a weekend too!! WOW) water intake OK, got in my bowflex workout late morning.  15 mins Gazelle.

 

Monday – diet excellent, water intake OK, bowflex workout 5 am (see blog about fighting myself to get UP), no cardio

 

Tuesday – not feeling too great.  Didn’t want to eat, made myself eat anyway.  Didn’t workout.  Having stomach cramps  :(

 

Wednesday – ACK!  SICK!!  Stayed home from work.  Tried to eat smart the little bit of food that I actually ate.  Didn’t take any meds so I wouldn’t crash.   No workouts!

 

Thursday – feeling 95% better!!! Diet excellent, water excellent, did legs workout in the morning, then arms workout and 30 mins Gazelle in the evening.

 

Friday – diet excellent, water intake OK, my Quads are KILLING ME!! YEAH!! Got in my bowflex workout in the evening, no cardio.  Decided I need to do 30 mins on the Gazelle instead of 15, and I can’t do it the day after leg workouts!!!! OWWW!

 

Saturday – diet good, water intake Good! No strength workout, got my cardio outside in the heat and humidity running around with my horse.  20 mins of constant movement.  From me!!

 

Strength training workouts:   5 out of 6 possible
Cardio :   3 out of 6 possible, but I did do more in one session than usual.

 

Days eating clean:  I’m gonna say 7 out of 7!!  Even though I didn’t eat much the day I was sick, I still ate healthy.

 

Beginning weight:  161.0

Ending weight:    159.0

Difference:      - 2lbs  YAY!

 

I feel really good I ate well all week!!  And I only missed one workout, and that was because I was sick.  I tried to double up for Tues and Wed, but I just ran out of week.

 

I feel stronger that I can stick to the plan, and my pants are fitting me better – yeah!!

This week is off to a great start.  I got in my workout yesterday (legs!!) and I ate really, really clean!!  I am happy with myself.  My butt hurt when I got off the machines. 

This morning, Monday, as I was hitting the snooze for the second time, I had to wrestle with myself about getting up.  I hadn’t slept well Saturday night and last night because it was so hot.  I’m laying there in the dark, listening to Dave snoring, just wanting to turn off my alarm and close my eyes tight and go back to sleep.  But I kept thinking about how I would run out of time by the end of the day, how yuky I would feel if I messed up my schedule, how good I would feel the rest of the day because of my morning workout.  So when the alarm rang again 7 mins later, I turned it off (ok, I slammed the button a little bit harder than was actually necessary), sat up on the bed, collected my thoughts and got up.  And did my workout.  (chest and shoulders, with the Absculpt).

I didn’t do a separate cardio this morning, I am going to go walking with Dave later this evening.  Plus I do a lot of "trotting" with my horse (on the lead, she’s not broke to ride yet), so that will certainly count for cardio later.  I have my food for the day, and I haven’t been starving hungry, so I think I’m good.

I personally think me getting myself up out of bed this morning was a moment of truth; that I have rounded a corner and got my priorities straight.  Not trying to brag or say I’m invincible, it’s just good for me to notice little victories, and this one I think is a good habit change. 

This starts week #3, with 5 weeks and 2 days to go…  ;)

ok, here’s the rundown:

Sunday   rest day, ate ok but heavy on the starchy carbs

Monday   bowflex workout in the PM  couldn’t finish because of time.  Diet ok.

Tuesday  finished bowflex and did 15 mins Gazelle, diet good, water good, ate a late dinner though.

Wednesday   decided to break up my bowflex workouts into groups.  AM did group 1 (legs) today, plus 15 mins on the Gazelle.  Ate a lot of food today, not bad food, but I wasn’t hungry for dinner and ate  a lot anyway.  So-so on the water.

Thursday  AM  Group 2 workout, 15 mins Gazelle, Ab Sculpt DVD.  Food - eh

Friday   AM Group 3 workout, but no Gazelle.  Pushed the water today, no soda!! Diet excellent.

Saturday  Rest day, some soda, some water, diet excellent.  Even had a small sugar crash and made it through without being stupid about what I ate.

 

Days cardio:                          
  3 out of 5 possible

Days weights:                            
  5 out of 5 possible

Days eating clean:                       
      4 out of 7 possible

Beginning weight:        (not sure – didn’t have a scale)

Ending weight:                     Â
 Â  161.0

Difference:

(will calculate bodyfat % and LBM at a later time)

Not great, but I did get all my strength workouts in, and I did better on my food, and WATER.  I feel tighter almost everywhere, and I am optimistic about the coming week.    :D

Chest and Shoulders

Group 2 today.  I also did my Gazelle for 15 mins and then the ab sculpt… I was SOAKED.  The only time I don’t mind sweating.  My legs are sore, I’m sure from yesterday, plus the Gazelle.  My arms feel like they are caveman arms… and ready to fall out if you just pull on them.  I’m sure my chest will start to whine in a little bit, it usually does  ;)

Happy to say my energy level is still UP!  If I feel like this every day, I should have no problems sticking to my workouts in the morning.

Last night, I wasn’t really hungry for supper, but I ate anyway.  Ugh… I probably ate too much, too.   Dave came home so we went out.  The plate choices don’t leave much for small portions, but I tried to eat smart.

The thing that is giving me the most problem right now, is getting in my water.  One of these days, it is all going to work together!!!

Ok, Group One today.  Legs.  BryanGee, I thought of you as I left the No Excuses - Look Good Nekkid - Fitness Center:   My legs almost didn’t work. 

YEAH!!  lol!
