Hello - - remember me??!!
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007LOL! I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve not only written anything, but even LOGGED ON to my bodyspace!! Whoa.
I am now a year older. YAY! hehe. I had my doctor appt on Monday, and she says "I have good news. Not GREAT news, but good" So what she told me was that my BP and my blood sugar are looking awesome. That part she was happy about. My cholesterol and triglycerides, although they have gone down, were not low enough. But instead of putting me on more medicine [ Y A Y ] she said "I want you to lose 20 lbs" I said DUH, what do you think I’ve been TRYING to do??? She gave me this big list of things, plus how many calories she wants me to be on. I said I am doing all of these things, plus that is the exact amount of calories I have put myself on. So she said then I want you to keep doing what you’ve been doing, but add this: get your heart rate up to [this number] and keep it there for 45 continuous minutes.
Oh.
I said ok. So my friend Randy (V65mag) gave me a heart monitor that he wasn’t using, and I’m now going to bust my a$$ jogging. I’m looking forward to it. It’s cold outside and it will do me good. And I have 6 mos to lose 20 lbs. She said she’s positive she will be able to take me off my BP and both my sugar meds at that point. That is what my ultimate goal was anyway, so this works for me!! So let’s hope jogging will break this stooopid plateau and get me losing!!
