JEESH! I forgot you get "punished" for going on vacation!  It’s taken me 3 days to plow through the paperwork on my desk… seems the person who was supposed to do my work while I was gone didn’t feel like it, and didn’t bother to tell me she didn’t do it, and then didn’t send me the  work so I COULD do it!  ARGH!  But I’ve managed to get up early the past 2 days and do my cardio, I’ve eaten my good breakfasts, lunches so -so, but dinners have been horrible.  :(   So today I made a good effort to plan out my lunch, packed it and all my snacks, so I would eat right.  My gym is closed on Friday afternoons (??) so I will see what weights I can do at home.  Hopefully this weekend will cooperate and I can get some decent workouts in!!  I’m psyched to get back into the groove!!

HEY! Back from VACATION! It was GREAT! I got a nice tan, felt comfortable in my skin, the waves were fierce and kicked our butts, my legs got nice workouts walking in the sand and from trying to keep me standing in the waves, and best of all, I didn’t gain any weight to speak of! LOL ! No, that wasn’t the best of all, but you know. Today I will get back into my routine, and now I also have an additional incentive/goal: Dave bought me some short overalls. He loves overalls, and these are just a TAD too small - but not anything I can’t get into! He paid more than I would have for them, but he wants me to get into them. So now I have ANOTHER clothing item to shoot for!!

Here is the only picture of me from the beach, on the digital camera. I’m not sure what Dave took on the film camera, probably nothing I can post here!!! But I did have a blast.

I just had to say I’m sorry if I came off sounding snobby in my last post!  I didn’t mean to!  I was rushing to get an entry in, and I was just mostly writing what was passing through my head, and I’m still in fitness mode, so I’m just noticing everyone around me.  I’m not judging others, just noticing things.

 And on that note, I was able to get oatmeal, AND an egg for breakfast today!  AWRIGHT! hehe!  Hopefully the rest of the day will go as well.  AND I did my cardio DVD that I brought along, it didn’t kick my butt like I thought it would (good for me, since I must be in better shape than when I first saw it - it scared me!) but it was still a GREAT cardio workout!!   And it was a big step for me to actually get up a little bit earlier than everyone else and DO IT!   YAY! hehe.

More later, maybe.  Hope everyone is doing well and having FUN!! :D

I’m sneakin’ in an entry - I’m in PA, at my dad’s house, on his computer, so I thought I’d check in.  Haven’t eaten too much I don’t think, not bad OR good, seems people dont’ EAT up here anymore!!!  I’ve had oatmeal for breakfast, but it’s the kind in the packet, but it’s better than Frosted Flakes!  I’m getting my water in, had sandwiches for lunches, and some pasta for dinner, but I kept the portion small.  I had to make a run to the store for some FRUIT!  GEE WHIZ, how do these people survive?  lol!!  Went to a pool yesterday, got some sun, played with my kids in the water for 2 hrs.  I was TIRED when I went to bed - just like when I was a kid, sun + water = sleepy!! YEAH!  I’m having a very good time.  I will be at the beach on Wednesday.  I can’t wait!  I feel pretty comfortable in my swimsuit - at least I see others my age (and some not my age) who definitely are NOT doing anything…  I think I at least look healthy and fit, if not "breathtaking" lol.  Lots of beautiful swimsuits, too - I need to get out more! haha!  ANYWAY, for anyone who reads these blogs this is an update for you!!  :)

This should be an interesting day… its pouring.  Its been pouring all nite, and it poured on Monday, too.  We are almost floating!  BUT!  We have a covered porch and we can still grill hamburgers!!  lol   I slept in since I didn’t have to go to work, (and I made it a GOOD LONG SLEEPIN IN!) so I might not get in one of my meals today.  And I changed up my breakfast to 4 egg beaters and 2 whole wheat flax waffles with some sugar free syrup.  I usually put some berries on them, but I didn’t have any today (my kids… eat everything in sight hehe).  But I’m holding my weight from yesterday.  I guess I just have to remember my water, and tomorrow should be good.  Have a great holiday today!!!

DAY TWO

Just for the record:  I did Gazelle last nite, and this morning.  I did drink a ton of water yesterday, and have already got in some this morning.  I ate my good first breakfast (always the same, I love it - 2 egg beaters and 3/4 cup oatmeal with skim or 1% milk and cranberries), and I usually have a diet pepsi around 8 am when I get to work.  Then at 9 I start with my 16oz of water every hour.

 So this morning I was down 2 lbs from yesterday. WHEW.  I don’t care if it is just water weight, it makes me feel better!!  Holding on to water isn’t good, anyway.  AND I am getting so much encouragement from you guys - that means so much!! THANK YOU!

Sorry, Steve, sorry, Bryan - and anyone else who reads my ramblings! I didnt’ realize it had been 2 weeks since I posted anything.  Guess cuz nothing terribly great has been going on to write about!

Last weekend Dave and I went to Fredericksburg (TX) to get peaches, and made a weekend out of it.  And I ate like I was on vacation, too!  The worst part was that I had hardly any water.  So I paid for it by gaining *a few* pounds… and I’m still struggling trying to get them to GO AWAY.  Granted, I didn’t exercise every day like I had been, this past week, so of course I have no excuse but me.  So I’m renewed, re-focused today, MONDAY JULY 2, and I’m on a mission again. hehe.  I really have to focus on eating clean, because if I don’t, nothing else works.  Oh, and drink my water.  So I grudgingly posted my new weight, to remind myself of the spoils of indulgence, and have a good attitude today and hopefully by Friday I can post a lower weight, and feel good again.

I really, really, REALLY feel SO much better when I get in my cardio first thing in the morning!  I am NOT a morning person, and although Dave has retrained me to GET UP and STOP WASTING THE DAY, it’s still not easy for me to get up, when I could be SLEEPING.  But the high I get for the rest of the day when I do my cardio first thing, on an empty stomach, really helps keep me motivated.  And then when I do eat my "first breakfast" I feel like my body is just devouring it, using it for good, instead of it just sitting there.  And by "second breakfast" I’m usually pretty hungry.

So today, I am focused on WATER! WATER! WATER! and eating clean, and getting in more Gazelle tonite after work.  Yay! hehe.
